Hi just a parking fine from UK pc showing my car parked at 12.50 am in a car park . They say I did not pay the ticket issued to me . I was in this car park 12 hours earlier the day before and no ticket was on windscreen. I have enclosed letter showing my appointment was 12 hours earlier and said I had no ticket on windscreen. I can prove I was there at this time as I have letter to prove it . Also because I am disabled I can’t drive at night . Photo shows car at night at 12.50 am . Any ideas

This thread is only for successful complaints that got a PCN cancelled. You are not in that position.

Tentative success to report here as I still have to receive final confirmation from Parking Eye.
But today, it looks like I have had a PE “ANPR” ticket killed-off within two hours after a polite but firm complaint and exchange of emails to a sports centre.
All the usual applied - hideously bad signs, unlit, away up poles, in the dark and only iffy laminated photocopies talking about “fines” visible at ground level.
They took my point without much stressing!

I got a £25 (rising to £50) charge from Park With Ease for a missed payment when parking at Betteshanger Park in Deal. I went through their appeals process but it was clear that they did not read my emails properly and just sent a stock rejection. I complained by email to Betteshanger's generic contact address and they were wonderful and got the charge waived.
I'm a regular visitor to the park and always usually pay so provided previous receipts as evidence that this was an honest mistake and offered to pay the £3 retrospectively.
Thank you to MSE for the advice! If you worry, you die..and if you don't worry, you die... so why worry?!5 -
Thank you so much to this fantastic forum for laying out guidelines on how to complain. I wrote to the CEO of the pub chain following a £100 PCN from Britannia parking. Outlined their lack of visible and properly lit signs in the dark as well as the amount of money spent on the premises, reminding them that they had suffered no financial loss. I advised that I could evidence spend here if necessary. I was polite but firm about that fact that I would not be paying what was clearly a penalty charge, from an unscrupulous company. They wrote back to me today to apologise, and although they pointed out the ways in which they had signed and pointed out the parking charge rules, they remained apologetic throughout the email and confirmed that the PCN had been cancelled. I am just awaiting the confirmation letter from Britannia that they have advised is on its way.In the past I would have panicked and paid this straight away, thanks to you all for giving me confidence to challenge.4

I am just awaiting the confirmation letter from Britannia that they have advised is on its way.In the meantime you can simply go to the Britannia website and go through the motions as if to pay your ticket, you will be able to check its current status - if it shows 'cancelled' or 'unable to find' (or similar), grab a screenshot and keep for posterity. If, after say 10 days, the charge is still showing as outstanding, it's back to the pub's CEO with a stronger complaint. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

A big thank you to the helpful advice on this subject. We received a PCN from Civil Enforcement Ltd in respect of the notorious Port of Wells Car Park, Wells-next-the-Sea, Norfolk. We had purchased a car parking voucher when visiting the town for a meal but still received the PCN. The keypad on the ticket machine simply didn't permit the typing of the correct car registration but the machine still produced a ticket which was placed in the windscreen. It was all the parking company needed to issue their mischievous and erroneous PCN. After taking a deep breath, trying to keep my 'sang froid', and carefully following your guidance to the letter, I am pleased to advise that they cancelled the PCN. The excellent tactic of directing a polite but robust letter to the landowner (Wells Harbour Commissioners - Port of Wells) seems to have been influential even if their replies were less than courteous. I hope this feedback is useful for forum members.4

Great result and thanks for the feedback. Not a usual outcome from this venue, most victims often have to jump through lots of hoops. Maybe the Commissioners are getting fed up with CEL?Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. The Landowner claims to be replacing the ticket machines with contactless card versions. There still remains the issue of inputting the correct car reg and given them the excuse to fire off the PCNs. I won't be using this car park needlesstosay on future visits. Keep up the great work.3
