  • Thank you for this thread. I used the template and successfully got a ticket cancelled. Tesco were very unhelpful in cancelling it even though I had shopped there that day. Very disappointing

    Well done,.

Tesco play hardball and love parking scammers. What their customer service actually means is go and shop elsewhere. Follow their advice

ParkingEye are finally getting a few slaps from the Range, only about 5 years too late, but hey, this is progress:

The PCN was at LBCCC stage - now cancelled by the Range Customer Careline.

Ilfracombe Council who were allowing Premier Park to operate a Council owned car park as if it was private land under contract law, using ANPR (not allowed, but there are lots like it) have finally removed the scum firm after years of complaints:

Landowner cancellation of a Parking Eye ticket:

My wife recently called into a local hotel to enquire about booking a function. A week later she got a £100 parking ticket through the post from Parking Eye. I was royally peed off to say the least.

I was in two minds whether to go down in person and complain but in the end I opted for a polite email to the hotel manager. To be fair to him he couldn't have been more helpful and got the ticket cancelled immediately. I got the feeling from him that this is a very regular occurrence.

How can a hotel's management think it's good business practice to royally pee off dozens of people who are at their premises legitimately? The hotel in question is not really near anything as far as I can see (railway station, shopping centre etc) so there's not really any reason for people to abuse the car park. This seems like crazy business practice to me.

Even though he cancelled the ticket there's not a chance we're going to be booking a function there and risk having any of our guests being pursued by Parking Eye. Do you think the money they receive from PE covers losses like these? (this was potentially a few £1000)

Anyway I think the moral of the story is to always contact the landowner in a polite manner and they'll be much more inclined to help. Don't go in raging and shouting like I nearly did!

  • My son got a parking charge notice £85. I know he went twice for Christmas food and drink but did not have receipts, he is well aware there is a 2 hour limit for parking. I just checked on his Google whereabouts on that day and thank you Google, it clearly states the two visits to Morrisons with the exact times. The notice says it is one visit of nearly 5 hours. I intend to print this out and send them a copy. Does this count as evidence does anyone know?

Of course it is evidence. It is very good evidence. Don't lose it.

Hi , I am posting this here in case anyone viewing this site like I did a few days ago is looking for inspiration sees this.... Here is my story.
In December 2019 I arrived at the outdoor car park for the North Sea Ferries P and O terminal and being a good law abiding citizen I paid for a ticket that cost me 16 pounds for 2 days parking at this P and O ferries car park... I had a really nice trip on the North Sea Ferries from Hull to Zeebrugge for the Christmas markets in Bruges. Totally fab weekend away. Arrived back at Hull only to find a PCN attached to my car issued by a company called Premier Parking Solutions (PPS). When I looked to my horror, the near gale force winds while we had been on our holiday had blown through the vents on my car and upturned the blinking ticket that I had correctly placed on my dash board as per the signage as we parked and payed good money for.
Well I thought this would be simple... be honest and reply to the PCN with an appeal with a simple explanation of what had occurred and pictures of the valid ticket I bought.
Two weeks passed following my full admission to the company PPS that I was in fact the driver and owner but sadly the ticket had been blown over and no reply seemed to come back. Me being me I emailed PPS asking for some resolve and within 12 hours I had a reply to my email to PPS and the outcome was that I was unsuccessful in my appeal as the ticket was not displayed correctly. Oh my god I was devastated!! How could any company be so evil when I fully explained the situation??
Well I then discovered this forum and realised that you should not admit NOT ON THING and definitely the driver!!!! OH my god what do I do they encourage and let me do the appeal to admit it was me and so I am liable because I did not display my ticket correctly as per the signage!!! Plus they sent me lots of pictures taken by their nice agent who if really looked hard could actually see through the wafer thin paper and see the upturned ticket was still valid.
Well following a few sleepless nights thinking shall just pay them 50 pounds (that I seriously begrudged giving to this random company in Devon) before the deadlines.Otherwise it will be a lot more like double (yes 100 pounds) they give you a limited time to rush you to pay up, or should I let them take me to court and call their bluff?
I was in a right mess over it all to be honest, you know honest bloke getting ripped off. Anyway the resolve came from on here and a trip adviser forum I was reading. As per recommended on here contact the land owner(BEST ADVICE EVER!!). Well all over the pictures of the noticeboard signs sent to me from this delightful company PPS it also had big P and O Ferries logo!! So I contacted P and O Ferries customer services on this number (01304 864960) and explained the situation. So 2 days later the really nice lady from P and O Ferries called Lauren Licence emailed me to say that they had contacted Premier Parking Solutions and the parking charge would be Waived . I then emailed this evil company to ask them to confirm that it has been voided and I am totally relieved to have received this email today "Good afternoon,This PCN has been cancelled,Kind regards,Premier Parking Solutions LtdTel: 0845 862 1034Fax: 0845 862 1035" ... By the way do not try to call them at any point they charge you to talk to them on this number!! Would you expect anything else??
So the advice I would give anyone who encounters these evil rip off parking companies is firstly admit nothing... Secondly contact the land owner and if you are like me and done nothing wrong they really should help you. Hope this helps anyone else in the same position as I was in a few weeks ago.

Just a quick note to add that the offer of a premium rate 0845 number is in breach of Regulation 41 of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 and the BPA Code of Practice.

The message sent to you is also in breach of Ofcom regulations as it fails to declare the premium rate call charges immediately alongside the number.
