delay at LHR meant we missed our connection in Newyork to Virginia and arrived %+hrs later (all on a through ticket). Did resolver, got nowhere. Went to CAA who ruled in my favour (but couldn't enforce anything). Went to moneyclaim online, UA didnt reply so got a court judgement by default 27/4/16 for full amount. UA not paid. Phoned and tweeted tohighlight the CCJ, got a response saying they will not communicate with me, basically don;t recognise the judgement and won't pay. Linked inmailed the CEO UA and UK branch - no response so tonight I have gone back onto MCOL to issue warrant.... what a hassle, and not sure what will happen next if they choose not to pay - its cost £175 in court fees so far! anyone else had UA problems/success? or had experience of sending in bailiffs to a company?0

That's really frustrating htb: but if you have any written correspondence to say they don't recognise the judgement, pls post them up. And you assuming it is sufficiently high (I think more than £600) you can transfer the warrant to a HCEO - who has the power to impound one of their aeroplanes if necessary. You can google how to do this.0

If they don't "recognise" the judgment their only remedy is to apply to set it aside but they will have an uphill task. Just press on with enforcement.0

Anyone know how to get information about the reasons for a flight delay? I was told nothing by the airline at the time (delayed 5 hours) about the reasons for the delay, other than a brief mention of a previous inbound aircraft being held up. I have claimed via the Resolver tool, but Norwegian Air have dismissed my claim, saying it was due to bad weather and therefore "exceptional circumstances". So, questions:
How do I discover if they're telling the truth about the weather?
Why didn't they tell us this at the time?
Even if a previous aircraft has been affected by bad weather, is that a valid reason for my plane being delayed?
Can anyone help?

try putting the flight number and date into a couple of the NWNF sites - EUClaim, bottonline and see if they think compensation is due? - tends to be a good indication on whether you are wasting your time or not0

The flight was MT386. I don't know the designation of the Gatwick flight. Sorry.
OTE=Tyzap;70868634]Hi,
I'm in full agreement with Vaubans reply above.
Could you give further details i.e date and flight number plus info on stranded aircraft at LGW. Please PM me if you don't want it on the open form.
Vauban - you've got to stop this paronomasia :rotfl:[/QUOTE]0 -
Presumably reg 261/2004 is enshrined in UK law and will need to be actively revoked following the brexit? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide
The alleged Ringleader.........0 -
Wouldn't have thought so unless the UK parliament re-enacts it0

So the fact that Supreme/Appeal Courts have upheld it, doesn't mean its actually on the statute books? If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

No EU 261 is not enshrined in UK law at all, it is just a directly applicable Regulation. Unless we agree to do so, when we leave the EU in 2 years, or whenever, UK airlines become non EU airlines and departures from the UK will no longer be covered, but flights back from the EU will be. Bizarrely if you choose to fly with Air France KLM or Lufthansa, as EU airlines on flights to other EU airports you will be protected both ways.
easyjet may well move its HQ to Switzerland which acknowledges EU261 and this morning BMI Regional has said it is seriously thinking of leaving the UK as its home as most of its flights are now within the EU and they want to keep the right to fly0
