Interesting blog on the (relatively straightforward) issue of compensation for children/infants:

Very interesting article, the only bit I struggle with is the issue of 'several test' cases, although could be persuasive to others, they can't be test cases if they are heard at County Court level.
However, I do agree with the logic and thought process of the author. After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

There are a few interesting articles, including this one......

I think this is very telling of the guy who runs Jet2!
No respect for his own staff as well as no respect for his customers. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
I think you're absolutely right about your last point: when any business treats their customers contemptuously, it has a broader effect on the culture of the operation - and it won't be a happy place to work.0

I've personally never had an issue with any of Jet2s staff, they have my utmost respect for working for a Company that doesn't value them, let alone it's passengers...
... Whenever I read on here about Jet2s staff it reminds me of something that happened a year ago, I received a phone call from Jet2, asking if I'd like to book another holiday with them, when I explained I was in the middle of a protracted legal case against them, we had a good chat, then the line went dead, thought I'd gone on a bit too long and got the young lady quite upset, but no she called back a few minutes later, saying her phone went dead, 'just like our planes' she joked and wished me well in my Court case.. Whoever you were it was great chatting with you! Glad to see some Jet2 staff are still smiling! After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

I have 2 claims against TAP Portugal
One for 24 hour delay for technical problems and a second for cancelling a flight
They acknowledged the claims but nothing since.
My case has been taken up by UK European Consumer Centre but TAP do not reply to them either
They have referred my case to the Portuguese regulator.
My question, as i paid by credit card, do i have a claim against the credit card company as principal? If goods are faulty, one can make a complaint again credit card issuer0 -

Hi ghazghaz,
We mainly deal with EC261 regs in here, so your question about claiming on a credit card, might be better answered elsewhere on the forum, my own thoughts are that the credit card company will not entertain it at all, for example cancelled flight the airline would refund you, delayed flight you still receive the service that you have paid for eventually.
Cheers,

My flight from Orlando to Gatwick was cancelled (delayed 24 hours) because of bad weather in the UK. We later found out that the weather had actually stopped the flight from Manchester taking off and they used the Gatwick plane to fly the Manchester passengers..presumably because there were less passengers flying to Gatwick and so less people to put into hotels. As there was no weather problem affecting Gatwick can I claim under the EU scheme??0

Almost certainly.
Please post any further questions in, I presume, the Virgin thread and have a thorough read of Vaubans superb guide first.

I put in a claim to Thomsons for a delayed flight. They gave me all sorts of waffle and excuses. The next part of the process listed on this site was to then write to the country where the flight started from. It was a bit of a blow it wasn't the UK but I wrote with all the details to the Dept of Civil Aviation in Cyprus at the address stated. I received no reply. So what do I do next?0
