We did receive a refund on that portion of our ticket.Have a read of Vauban's guide in the sticky
I assume you know the flight number and date
It is unlikely that after this length of time a NWNF will take this on so you would be dealing with this yourself, there are template letters to start with after which you should get a response from the airline possibly confirming the reason for the delay the you decide what to do next
Caz3121, I think I'm right in saying though that if the delayed passenger, received a full refund and never actually travelled on the flight, then no compensation due?

I wonder if someone could advise me as I think I may have a case for compensation.
On Thursday I was due to fly from Inverness to Dublin on Flybe.
Unfortunately the Flight was cancelled. They tried to re-route me via Manchester but that failed to come to fruition when the Manchester Flights were cancelled. Another option was to go to via London City but that flight was full by the time I got to the desk for the third time. !!!
To be fair I got £20 worth of vouchers to use at the Airport during the Day and was put up for the night in a 4 Star Hotel on a half board basis being conveyed by Taxi from the Airport.
When my paid for taxi took me back to the Airport this morning (Friday) I found the Dublin Flight had again been cancelled. I was unable to spend any more time trying to get there as I have to be back at work on Saturday. We were handed a little card with our rights on and I opted to cancel my flights. I was originally supposed to be going out on the Thursday and coming back on the Friday. I also got another £5 voucher for refreshments.
Once I got back to Falkirk I submitted a claim for a refund and compensation using the Flybe Contact Form.
Will the fact that Manchester Airport was closed for a period yesterday be a cue for them to allege it was "extraordinary circumstances" and try to evade payment. Other Flybe Flights were operating to and from London, Birmingham and The Islands.
Also I'm embarrassed to say that I only paid £15 each way for my flights - will this have bearing on the outcome ?
Many Thanks.....0 -

No it doesn't it's a moral decision.
However, I think the reason your flight was cancelled is a result of the extraordinary weather?
There's a clue in there somewhere and sometimes links are hidden in signatures. After reading PtL Vaubans Guide , please don't desert us, hang around and help others!

There was no problem with the weather in Inverness - the Dublin Flight should have gone directly from there. Aircraft were coming in and out from other parts of the UK and Easyjet Flights were seemingly unaffected.
I suppose it may hinge on whether a Flight from Manchester turns into a Flight to Dublin on arrival at Inverness. I don't think that is the case.0 -
We sincerely regret the delay of your flight FR611 from London Stansted to Derry on the 11/07/2012, which was caused due operational reasons.
Ryanair is committed to providing on time flights with safety being our number one priority. Occasionally, there are situations outside our control such as operational reasons which disrupt our flights. We sincerely regret that this flight was one of these rare delayed flights. We confirm that all reasonable measures were taken to ensure that this flight departed with as short a delay as possible.
However, as this delay was unexpected and therefore outside Ryanair’s control we regret to advise that no monetary compensation is due under EU Regulation 261/2004.
Our records show that issuing refreshment vouchers would have further delayed the flight departure; accordingly we will reimburse reasonable receipted expenses you may have incurred for refreshments, meals and phone calls. Please copy and paste the below link into your internet browser to submit your expenses for our consideration.
This is the context of email I received today from the airline, what is deemed as operational reasons? On this occasion we were told on boarding the flight 3 hrs 15 mins late that the reason was the staff did no turn up!
With regard to compensation for refreshments we were never offered any refreshments or comfort for the wait as we were all in a narrow passage way airside with no shops or amenities. We were never informed if we could have returned to the lounge. Another get out by Ryanair! Is my belief. When I sent the letter to Ryanair it was backed up by their own document that they sent admitting the delay period. Do you think I have a case to take this further again I ask what is deemed as operational reasons ? This could cover a multitude of things ....0 -
PATTIE9 there is a physician operating on the Ryanair thread who specialises in dissecting Ryanair.......have a peek.0

My family and I flew to Orlando Sanford in 2011 from Manchester and our flight was delayed by a day (got to boarding gate then no boarding). We were put up in a hotel at the airport for the night, but obviously lost a day of out holiday.
Problem is, I can't remember the flight details, and we no longer have any documentation relating to it. Is there a way I can access this information in order to progress with a claim?
Any information gratefully received
Many thanks0 -
