Butts, you need to find out why your flight was cancelled. Flybe are cancelling routes left right and centre at the moment, for econmic reasons.
If the flight cancellation was NOT waether related( on your actual flight) then you have a valid claim. read Vauban's guide tehn post on Flybe thread.
If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

They do occasionally. Regulars would like to be able to :)
Butts - register at flightstats (free) and see what else went in/out of Inverness and Dublin (or didn't) that day.

Butts, looking at flightstats, I suspect your plane got stuck somewhere else beforehand (due to the weather?) since quite a few flights arriving in Inverness were cancelled.
However, under reg 261/2004, unless the weather affected YOUR flight, it is not an EC so claim away.

Thanks Pears, hopefully they will payout automatically if that's the case.

  • I am having to resort to the Small Claims Court to fight for compensation for an US Airways flight from Manchester to Philadephia delayed by 7 hours in May 2012.
US Airways tried to fob me off with vouchers which I did not accept. AA (who have taken over US Airways) are refusing to compensate.
I can only find a US address to write a notice before action letter to give them one last chance.
Does anyone know a UK address or should I write to the US Head Office in Phoenix.
    Thanks for any help.

I received a letter from US Airways Manchester office. Their address was

    US Airways
    Manchester Airport
    Terminal 3
    Room 42067-71/Level 3
    Manchester
    M90 1QX

    Tel 0161 489 6440

    Hope this helps

Interesting blog on the (relatively straightforward) issue of compensation for children/infants:
