  • Hi I was hoping someone might be able to help? I have just been awarded a settlement from Thomas Cook from our delayed flights last summer to Egypt, they have settled at €300 per person which equates to £960 BUT they are in a Thomas Cook Voucher not sterling! Is this allowed as I was under the impression it would be a "cash" settlement. Many thanks :)

  • Can anyone help me, my flight to Bulgaria with BH Airlines was delayed by over 5 hours back in June last year, since then i have sent over 20 emails and several letter but all are being ignored.

Has anyone else sucessfully claimed from BH Airlines? and can andone advise what i can do from here?

    Thanks in advance
  • We had a 8hr delay in 2010, Thomson refused compensation in 2013 quoting 2 year rule, but as they have lost in the Supreme Court, I emailed them to reinstate my claim. After the 28 day reply time had lapsed, I wrote to the to find out how the claim was progressing, but still have had no answer! It's now been 2 months, I tried to telephone , but it's continually engaged!
Does anyone have a similar experience? Or any update how long claims are taking? Thanks PappaB

Pappa B. Thomson won't take much notice of you as they are up to their eyes resolving all the outstanding cases that are already in Court. So don't waste any more time with letters. Get on and sue them
  • Does anyone know when Flybe changed their Conditions of Carriage at Section 16 when it states that claims for damages, compensation etc (including EU 261/2004 claims) had to be submitted within 2 Years?

I know this is a long shot!!

    Thanks in advance.

How would you make a small claim against them, and if succesful how would you enforce any judgement against them?

  • We were delayed in sept last year by 7.5hrs on a flight to kefalonia from manchester. We were called to the gate on time (6.30am) and the aircraft was parked up. We got to the gate but the screen quickly changed to "more info after 9.30am". The plane got to to the hanger for repair, but we then were told another plane from Spain was coming to take us to kefalonia and we would be leaving around 2.15pm. We submitted a complaint on our return, but have been told today that it was a 3rd party fault so we will not be getting any compensation!! Has anyone else heard of this, and what should we do next; we were only going for a week and lost a full days holiday :(
