Were the original and new flight numbers different? was the new morning flight one that was always scheduled to run?...if so then your flight was cancelled and you should claim as such
Flightstats.com says the flight was 'cancelled', but the flight was completely full and there was no morning flight scheduled, but we flew out in the morning on the same airline with everyone else. I can't remember if they changed the flight numbers or not, but if there was no scheduled flight, it couldn't have been really 'cancelled' right? So I should probably try under the 'delayed' category and use that template? The scheduled departure time was at 19:45 on Saturday and we left first thing on Sunday morning at 08:00. Missy :A0 -

Posted this in the TC thread, but worth putting it here aswell
Hi Their,
Whilst the Mail Article is making what we on this forum website know in the public domain, it is ridelled with mistakes, and could be misleading. It is not new law, it has been in existence since 2004. I will not go into all the mistakes, but as I have a pending court case I beleive I am Au Fait with all the legal issues.

Hi All,
New to this issue as hadn't heard of it until today and just wanted some advice from the experts! In early 2011 I travelled to Prague with Easyjet and several weeks before we were told they were cancelling our flight home. We were offered another flight in replacement but this meant losing a whole day of our holiday or staying another night in a hotel obviously at our expense. Therefore we took the extra night in the hotel. Easyjet were unsympathetic.
Looking at the article as we arrived a day later I think we are entitled to something but if we had the choice of the earlier flight does this apply?
Also I no longer have any of the documents and when I sign onto the easyjet website it says I've never made any bookings (I presume as it was several years ago) but I have checked back through my bank account statements and the transactions show on there I just obviously have no flight numbers etc.
Any advice on whether I'm entitled to or what my next steps should be?!

Well I still haven't heard back from Thomsonfly about my compensation. After numerous calls someone e-mailed me the compensation forms which I returned by special delivery. I have since been told to allow 8 weeks. It is now coming up to 7 weeks and I've just rang them for an update only to be told nothing has been done as yet. What should I do if I've not heard anything by the 8 weeks. Has anyone had a successful outcome from Thomson and how long did you wait from returning the claim forms. Thankyou.0
