  • Hi sorry if in wrong place. My wife has a claim in with the aviation authority (ADR) they found in her favour but nothing ever came of it. Now when we try and ring them its an automated message about covid etc.
Does anyone have a different number?
Its about £2000 and its just dragging on.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks in advance.
  • My flight from Manchester to Goa was delayed Feb 2020 and to date I have still received no compensation even though Tui have accepted the claim as valid. I was promised payment within 7 days back in April after a phone call and despite going through Resolver and ADR still no joy. I have now made application through court and wonder why this is said to be “tricky”

Passive voice...who said? It's trickier than making a pot of tea, but easier than taking an O level. All done online via MCOL.

  • I would like your advice regarding an issue I face. Being a regular member of your website, I feel that you might have seen something similar in the past and you may be able to help me.
Well, long story short, I received a letter from firstcustomercontact.com regarding an investigation around some claims that I made in the past (2019-2020). They asked me to provide evidence for five of my trips which go back to 2019 (the most recent of these five was 27.01.2020, which is still more than a year ago). However, they belong to the long past and you might agree with me that it is hard even to remember where I was at these five specific dates, even harder to find evidence about them. I contacted them about it trying to justify 2-3 of the five incidents but the lack of proof drove them to issue me a penalty of almost £500 (£481 to be accurate - please see photo attached). Looking at the letter, I saw that the actual amount of these trips was £116 and the rest are admin fees, which I find so unfair firstly because there is no chance to find any kind of evidence for trips that were made two years ago and also even if I agree to pay the fee (as my final solution) I do not want to pay extra £365 for their admin work (at the end of the day, it is part of their job to investigate these things, so they are already paid for these tasks). I am feeling that they are trying to fish for money due to the lack of income because of the pandemic but on the other side I do not know how to handle this situation.

Is this related to claims for delayed or cancelled flights? ... your duplicate posts on various threads imply this is related to train tickets, if so this is the wrong place
  • Hello,

I was scheduled to fly out on Sunday, 31 October 2021 at 18:05 to Lahore Arriving at 06:55 (01/11/2021), but my flight has been cancelled by BA. They have rescheduled me on the next available flight which is for Saturday, 6 November 2021 at 21:00.

Am I entitled to any compensation at all?

    Kind regards,
    abermancie

BA have 2 flights a week, Tuesdays and Saturdays (has been the case for at least 3 months). There is a flight on Saturday 30th @ 9:45pm and they have availability also on Tuesday 2nd that you could ask to be moved to if these suit you better
Winter timetable commences on Sunday but the days of flights have not changed (although they may have been planning to change them) How long ago did you book and did you book direct with BA?

I booked directly with BA at the end of last month. I spoke to the representative and she has said that the Saturday 30th and Tuesday 2nd flights are fully booked in Economy.
  • @Caz3121 any chance of getting compensation for this?
