Using the supplied letter templates, I successfully reclaimed my charges from NATWEST. I claimed £3800 and they settled at £3300. All it took was 4 letters supplied from this site. Thanks Martin, keep up the good work. Mike. :j :T0

natwest bank
amount applied for £6428
amount paid £6428
after applying for my charges back the bank said they would pay the amount in full, but when we closed the account we had an overdraft outstanding. i paid this off with a settlement figure prior to applying, but when they agreed to pay back the charges they said that they wanted the difference from the settlement figure to the amount which i originally owed which was around £1500. i had several telephone conversations with them, but they would not give in so i contacted the ombudsman and they told me to put an official complaint in which i did and two weeks later a cheque arrived for the full amount i was claiming for.
thankyou so much for all the advice posted could not have done it without you:j0 -
:T Barclays has today agreed to pay in full after I submitted a Default Judgement Request to the court on the 15th August 2007, on the understanding that my partner agrees to consent to the default judgement being deferred. Have requested payment prior to signing Consent Form and they have verbally agreed.MSE_Martin wrote: »After the huge number of successes reported the last Bank Charges Success Stories thread has now got so long it hardly opens!!!! Well after waiting and waiting I sent my claim to the FO Nat west made an improved offer and said they would honour it although I thought it would have to wait until after the test case they first offered me £400.00 which was not all the charges they have since offered £613.00 which is all the charges but no interest I have accepted their offer as it will come in for christmas so its down to Lloyds TSB to follow suit now and pay up Thanks Martin for all the help tried to get on at the weekend but couldn't why are some people so horrible:beer: :T :j :money:0

Bank: HSBC
Amount Reclaimed:£2300
Amount they paid: £1400
The story: I accepted the first offer as we were skint and I didn't want to risk holding out. I advised a friend to fight it all the way and they won it all, interest included. I only wish I did that now. But I can't complain. I'm off to reclaim a mis sold PPI from HSBC :eek:0 -
bank : HSBC
Amount Reclaimed: £1750
Amount They Paid: £1350
I followed these letters to the tee, they worked perfectly and got the exact responses that this website said i would. After requesting the full amount plus interest, i heard nothing after the 14 days. I then sent another letter saying that i would except £1450 if they replied within 14 days. 10 Days later, i got an offer for £1350. Probably could of gone for the rest, but as far as i was concerned, i had already lost that money, so quids in!! :money::rotfl:
NOW i have just done the same with barclaycard and that was even faster! After 1 letter, a simple letter from then saying that they did not agree but here is the money straight back on to your card!! Now i have nothing on the card to pay back, so its getting closed tomorrow! Capital one and HSBC Credit Card here i come!! !:mad::mad: Superb site! Saved me loads!! :T:T:T:T:T:T:T:T0 -

Lloyds TSB Trustcard - In April I wrote asking for £591 plus interest of £102.73 back, they replied by politely saying 'go away'. I applied for a Court hearing costing me £80 to which they replied in August by saying that there was to be a test case and they'd not entertain any claims until the result of that case had been heard.
Without any warning I've just received a cheque for £773.73 (the full amount including the Court fee to save you adding it up!) Cheers Martin:beer:0
