  • Bank: Lloyds TSB
    Amount Reclaimed: £1023.56 & £6676.95
    Amount they paid: £1165 & £6938.66
The story: Both cases got as far as threatening court action and issuing claims against them through Money Claim Online. Both cases were going to be disputed, but offered us the full amount, plus court fees, plus a bit of interest if we would drop the cases. Accepted with pleasure!!
  • Thats great. Did your son have to change bank accounts?

  • Hi
Went down the FOS route, got a rubbish offer from bank, rejected it, FOS said they would go back to them (together with evidence why). Anyway, the Test case scenario happened and I gave up all hope thinking it would be stayed until further notice.

Saturday morning, letter from FOS, saying bank has revised offer and Im getting the whole lot back, over £5,000!!!

How and why this happened when I though everything is on ice is anyones guess...but obviously over the moon

They probably were investigating before the waiver and continued. Well Done!
  • I started the proceedings step by step as laid out by Martin, everythings was just as he quoted about being told we was not entitled to any refund of the charges, however, we took the next step as he advised, and again another letter was sent to us from halifax saying they would look into it, but they still said it was fair for them to make the charges. After a while a third letter came and said they still was not refunding us the charges. So i then took the next step and threatened them with the bailiffs, from this i had a reply saying that as a valued customer they would pay the biggest part of the charges, to which we agreed.
The charges came to around £330 and they refunded £270.
I would advise anybody to reclaim what is theirs in the first place and Martin's procedures and advice are really easy to follow. Banks make enough money from us anyway, DON'T let them put you off just keep printing off the template letters on Martin's site.:T :T :T :T :T

    Congrats Vickyb

Basingtoke baliffs are quite good, unlike those in the Barclays area (Bow Court).

They seem to get a kick out of putting the screw on Lloyds TSB.

    Enjoy your dosh.
