I asked for £576 from baclaycard a few weeks ago , they offered me the difference between the current £12 fees . £260 . i wrote to them saying i would have that thankyou but would still fight for the rest ...
Up untill today i never heard a thing from them so i rang and what they had done was refund me all £576 but into my baclaycard account that i dont use so had no idea. i spoke to them and they have now put it into my bank account ( well they say it will take 3/4 days)
If i hadnt of rang to find out what was going on i wouldnt have known they had paid me in full...0 -
MBNA settled in July, 2007
I was owned £854
They paid £812 which I accepted as this cleared off the outstanding balance on my account which I closed with them.
Bank of Scotland owed £2,087
they have offered £500 as good will gesture in full and final settlement, refused this and put matters in hands of the Ombudsman
Clydesdale Bank owed £857,
they have offered £242 as good will gesture in full and final settlement again refusing this, they did send cheque to accepting cheque as part payment and making this clear in my letter to them, but have to-day sent off papers to the Ombudsman.0 -

Alliance & Leicester Credit Card
Claimed: £1177
Received so Far: £528
Well i'm claiming back £1177 from my Alliance and Leicester Credit Card, i sent letter one and got back a letter saying the usual guff but as a valued customer they would give me back £168 (how kind)...
I sent letter 2 saying that i would without prejudice accept that as part payment blah de blah de blah....
I also added that the minimum they should have offered was £288 which was the difference between the £12 maximum that the OFT agreed as a maximum and what i'd actually been charged....I then put that due to these being credit card charges any attempt to stay the case would not be appropriate and finally i added that i looked forward to seeing them in court where i would ask them in front the judge to disclose the actual cost to them of me paying late or going over my limit...
Well today i got the same letter as the first one back with the same guff and as i am a valued customer they would arrange for a further £360 to be credited to my account.
I wonder what a 3rd letter will bring me?0 -
Bank: Royal bank of scotland

i contacted the bank with help from tips on the site got aletter back telling me it could take upto 6 weeks to investigate after 8 weeks i sent a follow up letter they replied to that letter making me an offer of £810 as a goodwill gesture i accepted this then they wrote back to me making me offer again basically saying they hadnt recieved my first letter so replied to this heard nothing for 2 weeks phoned them up was told the money would clear in my account 21 working days from date of letter i made this 10 working days from date of letter to my suprise the next day the money cleared in my account.
well done martin and everybody involved in drawing up the letter to send.
this has now also helped me get out of my debts to credit cards and loan companies who i called and asked to get a reduction if i paid in full there and then and 50% of my creditors agreed
thanks again.

Same story with me with RBS. They offered me 880 pounds which was more or less what i claimed and they paid it within a week of me accepting their offer. Very easy because of all the help on this thread - I was very daunted by the whole thing and very glad it's over - but very pleased with the results. Many, many thanks0

Claimed £4992 over the past six years and judgement was given today awarding me the full amount, plus interest and costs ... HSBC ordered to pay £5257.22 forthwith!
The template I had used for the claim was from another site (tut tut tut) and neglected the interest details, so I missed out on about £800 worth, but I am morew than happy with the result.
Just go to wait for them to pay up, now.
Yipee! We missed out on the reclaim of nearly £5000 bank charges from HSBC, but picked up over £10000 in PPI claims against them instead. I am now debt free and working to help my other half clear hers0
