Mpen, I am a 35yo male, am I allowed in too?
I have played with the Amazon Basin for years; they are a teamwork-fairplay-no cheating group of gamers, and I even play with a couple of girls there
I mostly play D3 right now but did have BF3 but my mouse is falling apart and headphones are knackered lol
lol, yes of course. You'd be more than welcome.
We have a diverse group of people aged from young members (children of our older members mainly) playing minecraft through to students and professionals. Our oldest regular gamer is about 62 I believe. We have 3,586 members currently.
Members are mainly from the UK although we have quite a quite Dutch, Danish and Scandinavians.
As stated, we're a mature gaming community founded in 1996 precisely as we hated what so many of you are complaining about - the immature, puerile, fraghunters out there.
We play games based on teamwork and objective-based gameplay.
I'm didn't come here to recruit (we're free in any case) and have an active and thriving community and bi-annual LANs.
But what you're all saying about the idiots out there is true. Anyway, if anyone is interested please visit us at www . deadmen . co . uk and see for yourself.
We plays lots of games and adopt more as needed. From CS:GO, COD4, BF3 and L4D through to World of Warcraft, RTS games and others.
If nothing else it may let you find a small haven in the carnage that can be online gaming when playing FPS's or MMO's.

Another female gamer here!
I played Sonic on our SEGA master system and had a gameboy when I was little, not sure if that counts though :rotfl:
I started gaming again with MMOs when I was 25ish (am 31 now  ) I don't get much of a reaction on the Aion EU servers I play on now, I think the player base is slightly older so it's not such an issue. There also seem to be more female gamers playing, perhaps as a result?
Before Aion I played FFXI on the worldwide servers and used to get an incredulous 'so you're really a girl?!' when people found out there was a real female behind my female characterIt still makes me smile today
Ocasionally play CoD on Hubby's Xbox but tend to leave the mic turned off, in fact even when it is on I don't say much, shy perhaps? Ooooh that reminds me of a time we were playing co-op Left 4 Dead, and I actually wanted to speak but couldn't, at the time my silver membership meant no voice chat function. I was the only person left alive but couldn't get to safety as someone had died infront of the door - this was apparently my fault as we all know 'girls can't play games!'
Hubby turned the air blue I tell you :rotfl:Cross Stitch Cafe Challenger No. 26 :hello:XStitch to do list:-- Birth Sampler -- Christmas Angel -- Mum's Xmas Stitch -- Christmas decs 3 & 4 -- Xmas Bird ---- Snowflake Sonata -- Be Jolly -- JE Unicorn -- Start HAED!!! --0 -
I am a (slightly mature :embarasse) laydee gamer on a PC
I finally got interested when I discovered the game Thief: The Dark Project back in 1999 and I realised not all games were boring. There was something I actually wanted to play in existence!
That has led me through a long list of mainly FPS games and ever more powerful computers over the past years. I will tolerate occasional 3rd-person games, like Splinter Cell.
I used to play online a lot and, apart from my N.O.L.F. clan days, have never let it be known that I'm a female on the CoD or Battlefield servers. I've now cut back on the multiplayer as I got fed up with the very immature idiots who were out to spoil it for everyone else, so mostly play single-player these days - with the occasional jump back into the frantic maelstrom that is online FPS just to keep my reaction times sharpened. :cool:0 -
Yup, I'm a gamer! 33, my first console (if you can call it that) was the Sinclair ZX + 3, the one with the tape cassette and Colin the Cleaner
Then played a lot of my brother's Nintendos along the years. Now have a Wii (mostly for Zumba games that one) and share an Xbox360 with OH. I'm mostly a fan of RPGs, third person ones, as first person RPGs like Halo give me headaches. So I like things like Assassins Creed, Knights of the Old Republic (star wars geek also), the Final Fantasy games, enjoyed the new Tomb Raider very much and love the Mass Effect series. For a while got very addicted to multi-player on it.
My gamertag was a generated xbox one which I never got round to changing and isn't very girly, but my profile pic is Lightning for Final Fantasy 13 (currently replaying that one) so there's a girly hint there.
Can't say I've ever had any negativity during my Multiplayer escapades, I was mightily chuffed on one Mass Effect MP when the 3 American guys I was in a PUG with all snuffed it, and I took out most of a gold wave single handedly and got a lot of kudos for it, but none of them went "oh you're a girl" or anything like that. Unless they thought I was a 12 year old boy :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Do good deeds and you could raise the curtain, do good deeds and you could really raise your life....0 -
I'm 26, always been into my console gaming but not so much PC. Sold my ps3 when I was with the ex because he wasn't into gaming and moaned that it was a waste of time but I am soooo looking forward to the ps4 and playing FarCry 3! Also love all the old mario games :-)0
