I'm a gamer and have been for as long as I can remember, my first gaming platform was a commodore 64, did anyone else have the frustration of waiting about 40 minutes for the game to load lol. I can't imagine the youth of today having the patience ;)

I then moved on to the Amsterdam and Ameiga followed by the good ole trusty woody and then his predecessors. We were a Sega household after the Atari era the only Nintendo I owned was a gameboy (I only had this because I swapped my Gamegear for it).

Now a days I'm not big on consoles I seem to have migrated back to the PC. We have an xbox and wii in the house but the hubby and kids play those. All the modern consoles seem to have controllers that are far too big for my hands (I have to use a small laptop mouse on the pc or my hand aches due to carpal tunnel syndrome).

Games I have loved over the years

    Alex the kid
    Pac man
    Psycho fox
    Crash Bandicoot
    Mortal Combat
    WoW
    Command and Conquer
    Arma 2
    War Commander
    Sonic

Actually this list could possibly go on forever so I'll leave it there :)

Me too! I'm in my 50's and have a PS3 and an Xbox 360. OH has a PS2 and he only ever plays one game on it! I'm a solitary player though and never go online to play, so haven't experienced any abuse there. In terms of people's reactions to my gaming, they tend to be very positive, especially from younger lads!

My favourites are the Mass Effect series, the Halo series and the Assassin's Creed series, although I hated the most recent one - whiney moaning Connor! :(

I'm now trying to decide whether a PS4 or an Xbox One should be on the Christmas list. I think I'm tending towards the latter though, because I love my Xbox 360 more than my PS3! :rotfl:

    I'm a gamer. At 30 :)

I started off on my Dads old Atari then Spectrum. Moved on to the megadrive, pc, then the various xbox/playstation offerings.

My main MMO at the moment is Guild Wars 2 (no monthly fees, hoorah!). I'm more into my RPG style stuff, though I was pretty awesome at Unreal Tournament back in the day. I miss it. :D

I'm not going for an Xbox One or PS4 until I see more interesting offerings gamewise for them. Some of my friends will be getting those, so I may see how well they play before making a decision. I have plenty of PS3/Xbox 360 games to get through anyways while I wait and see how both of the next gen consoles pan out.
This is not an automated signature - I type this after every post.

Another one here. Been gaming for 33 years. Currently have PS3, Wii and DSXL. Love Resident Evil series, Tomb Raider, Hitman, Metal Gear Solid, Manhunt, Prince of Persia, all the GTAs, Red Dead, Skyrim, Oblivion, some of the Final Fantasy series etc. and loads of others. Still play a few PS2 games when I get chance.

My job is fairly stressful and gaming helps me relax. Love it!
Don't grow up. Its a trap!

    Peace, love and labradors!

Me too. Also been at it for about 33 years. A lot of RPG's and point & click adventure games back in the mists of time.
Currently playing Lord of the Rings online.

    Role call!

26, mainly play PC games, but will happily steal other people's consols. Ended up buying a PS2 and a 3DS as a result!

Don't touch multiplayer with a barge pole as I tend to prefer single player experiences. I will admit to playing the girly games, though! I find most FPS fairly dull, and I'm quiet happy to play a game with bad controls with a good plot/story/atmosphere, rather than the other way around.

    Current favs are:

Silent Hills 1-3 (4 was clunky, everything else was just...wrong)
    Katamari (excellent fun)
Walking Dead (The Telltale Games one, not the crappy FPS)
    Half Life
    Left 4 dead
    Portal
The Ace Attorney Series (If you haven't played this yet, GO BUY IT NOW! SO FUN)
    Anything Tim Shafer

There are probably other, but yes! Lady gamers!

Add me to the list too :)

Nowadays I'm mostly a warcraft player but I cut my teeth on a spectrum and I'm pretty sure I can still sing the loading sounds of Manic Miner:rotfl:

I also used to work as a GM for an MMO so I guess I probably count as fairly hardcore.

I also love board games and have a fairly regular evening of playing games - yesterday we played Gloom for the first time and it was great fun.

Gloom is pretty good fun, and the art is GORGEOUS - you ever played Munchkin? Munchkin is very, very fun and I keep having to resist the temptation to buy it, and force my non-school friends to play it!
