I'm a girl gamer (I'm 25). I got into gaming rather late (at the age of 17/18) due to my boyfriend at the time insisting that I get into it, best thing he ever did in our relationship :p.

I've never had any adverse reactions to my hobby, but I'm mainly friends with like minded people, or more 'open minded' people I guess. I was also an art and media (among other subjects) student in college, designing game mods and other animated things as part of my diplomas so I was in a class of like minded girls (and boys of course) which was an advantage. My OH now is also a gamer.

  • I am a gamer but more old school nintendo and online games. I am a huge World of Warcraft fan, been playing for years and have been obscenely addicted, taking a break from it at the moment but no doubt i'll be back soon :o

I'm a bit of a gamer. Used to play a lot of PC games as a child/teen, but other than The Sims I don't use the PC much for gaming now. I occasionally go back to some kind of Tycoon game.

Our house is full of consoles. I collect retro Sega games, OH collects retro Nintendo, and we have all the modern consoles as well.

I don't play the modern stuff so much, though. The Fable series, definitely, but other than that when it comes to modern stuff I'm the stereotypical girl games and will play Disney games and Kinectimals.

I'm a 23 year old girl who has owned every console made for the last 15 years :D

Is anyone else a Trophy/Achievement !!!!!? I'm at 33 platinum trophies on the PS3 and hoping to get 50 by the PS4 release date.

I started playing when I was 5 years old, I was given a cast of sega mega drive and a few games, Mortal Kombat was the best :D

My all time favourite games are:
    - Mega Bomber Man
    - Sol Feace
    - Theme Park
    - Harry Potter 2 on PS2 (other versions were different)
    - Black and White 2
    - Devil May Cry 4
    - Roller Coaster Tycoon series
    - Infamous series
    - Assassin's Creed series
    - Anything that Ron Gilbert and Tim Schafer had a hand in

Played to death over and over. I get every Ron/Tim game the day they are released, some of their newer stuff is awesome. Stacking and Deathspank are 2 you have to check out if you haven't already.

    Me me me!

Started off with a mega drive, moved on to original Playstation then PC. Played Rogue Spear and Urban Ops into the night. Had to stop once I had my daughter as sleep became a requirement.

Moved on to PS2 about 4 yrs later and now XBox 360. I don't speak on mics any more because of the squeaky young american kids. My daughter now games too, we love Left for Dead 2!

    I am 39 :D

WOW  I never had it that bad, used to play a lot of Americans on Rogue Spear and they were 99% respectful, I was in a great clan though so that helped. It was Gears of War on the xbox that the kids were abusive.
