LOL :rotfl:0 -
I'm glad theres some girls/ladies on MSE
It's not my friends that react (my friends OHs are gamers) and have other stuff we talk about - it's the people who I work with that have reacted like that.
I'm just loading up my ps3 and about to have a game of gta (cba doing the missions at the min I'm stuck and will end up damaging something if I try again...).
My parents didn't let/want us to have consoles when we were growing up - I bought my first when I was 19 (old Nintendo DS) and my collection has gone from thereUsing my phone to post - apologies in advance for any typos0 -
What mission are you stuck on?0

Yes! I have had my 360 since college, she's an old thing but does the job, lol.
Having something like an xbox was a real life saver after I had my gall bladder removed 2 years ago and was on bed rest, I'm not a huge tv watcher so don't really know what I would have done without it, maybe a book?
I actually met my OH via the xbox too, we got talking through a mutual friend and the rest, as they say, is history. Few years down the line and were now expecting our first child who will be making an appearance some time in the next few weeks! Eeek!!!
Sometimes love finds you in the most random of places!
As for the male dominated thing, I agree, I don't see many other female gamers online and when I do they're often being either harassed or chatted up in equal measure, lol.
Hmm fav games...probably oblivion/skyrim and fallout 3/new vegas. I enjoyed the fables too, borderlands 2 was good when playing with friends, oh and bully! I'm currently playing dragons dogma which I'm enjoying and hating at the same time, must remember to save more often! My guilty pleasure game is toy story 3, lol.:eek:0 -
Female gamers are a large chunk of gamers I think they're just less likely to turn their mics on.Hi. I'm a Board Guide on the Gaming, Consumer Rights, Ebay and Praise/Vent boards. Yep
Had my 360 for about 3 years now; I do also own a Wii, Gameboy, Gameboy Colour, Gameboy Advance, DSi and SNES but they rarely get played anymore.
Tend to play RPG's (though I dislike Skyrim completely) or light hearted games. I play CoD and do get harassed by male gamers...but that might be because they're bitter about being beaten and my K/D is usually better than theirs
Also belong to a clan who are mostly girls and we also get a fair amount of abuse and/or stereotypical remarks. The usual message is "get off CoD and make me a sandwich", or the like. :rotfl:0 -
