Woo a female gamers thread!

I'm an all round gamer I'd say but not necessarily hardcore. I've got PS3, Xbox360 and WiiU as well as a Mac laptop.

I adore Red Dead Redemption and the new Tomb Raider at the mo on my PS3. Tomb Raider was probably the first 'proper' game I ever played and what got me into it (incidentally, I've downloaded the first TR from the PS store and still play it now). I love GTA and COD too.

Me and my sister have gamer days but we play stuff like Crash, Spyro etc. Little Big Planet is our main game at the moment.

On my Mac I play Guild Wars 2 and LOTR Online. I love them! I really want to get into Oblivion and Skyrim as I love that kind of game where you can build this odd storybook life as well as play a structured game.

I'm 29, and among the first games I played were Cosmo's Cosmic Adventure, Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis, Doom, Wolfenstein 3D.

At the moment I mainly play games on my iPhone and iPad, and occasionally my PS3. I've got a Wii, but the graphics are so horrible on my HD TV I don't use it.

I'm currently aiming to not buy anything from the App Store until I've finished (or decided I don't want to play it again) and deleted a page of games from my iPhone - a page is 16 apps. All the pages on my homescreen are full of games, and each page has at least one folder with at least 8 games in it too! I keep buying/downloading them when they are "free app of the day" or on sale and never play them all!

I do not need so many I'm sure!

Also I am a woman, Humphrey isn't my real name, even if I was a man my parents would have had to be very cruel to call me that...

I'm 34, have always had games consoles but was never a massive gamer until I met my now husband, he was a pretty hardcore World of Warcraft player, I got fed up of spending evenings/days being ignored so I joined up and got rather addicted myself, that was 5 years ago, am taking a break from it at the moment (as is my husband)but will probably go back at some point.

Little bit obsessed with the new Animal Crossing at the moment, its my sons copy and his 3ds tho, have asked for my own for my birthday next month.

WOOOO I can see me spending a lot of time in this corner of the forum, I LOVE my games!!

Started out on the vic20 pahahaha - I was Gorf champion! I loved the Scott Adams text adventures as well. Anyone remember those? Then moved onto the C64, (WOW graphics and music in a text adventure? That was groundbreaking!)

Then school and life happened, til sonic and the Sega.. then the N64 and Goldeneye showed me what kind of games I would love. So onto the PS and Lara happened, and that was the start of a long relationship, full of highs and lows that carried onto the PS2. I got into MoH Frontline in a big way, and discovered the joys of GTA, and discovered that I just love running round with guns more than doing anything stealthy or particularly cerebral.

I'm a 360 convert now, and don't have a huge amount of games.. I tend to choose carefully and get games I think will be played again and again.

My current library: L4D1/2, The Darkness 1/2, Tomb Raider, Dead space1/2/3, Kane and Lynch1/2, Condemned1/2, Dead rising1/2, RAGE, Borderlands.

If anyone would like to add me on live the tag is damnshortie... BUT I am getting ready to move, so won't be on live for 2-3 weeks. Definitely want to be all set up for GTAv tho, and am up for some shenanigans then!

As well as being a 18+ site (so no whiny kids!) we have a selection of female gamers, quite a few gaming couples as well.

I didnt realise its 1996, there are other ways to stop people spamming your site than simply banning new users from posting links....
