I'm a gamer girl, but to be honest I do tend to fall into the trap of games aimed at girls. I have a 360 but my brother has claimed it, haven't been able to play it in months.
I usually stick to my DS and all the Harvest Moon games, been playing them for 10+ years. I'm desperate for the new limited edition Animal Crossing 3DS XL but think it will need to wait till next month and once I'm back from my holiday.0 -
Before I got my PS2 I was the same LPS - I had the original DS in 2006 and have 25 ish games most of them puzzle type things or Mario
When I got my PS2 I got into GTA and Tony Hawks - less girly and where I tend to get a shocked reaction. The one game I do love on PS2 is the Italian Job - not the main story but the mini game where you have to drive a Mini Cooper around an obstacle course without damage - brilliant and frustrating at the same time.
I would love to get the 3DS but I can't use the 3D element of it (it sends me dizzy!) - I do like animal crossing but didn't really like Harvest Moon - it will be coming on holiday with me though next month as I don't think taking any kind of games console is a good idea!
Think I'm going to have a games day whichever is the hottest/worst for hayfever this weekend!Using my phone to post - apologies in advance for any typos0 -

I'm 27 and live in Manchester.
Bit of a hardcore Zelda fan (ALBW is going to be EPIC!!!!), currently on my gazillionth play through of OoT, with a bit of TWW on gamecube (yes I still have one of those...) with my best mate (male) on the tingle tuner for a giggle.
I've played COD online and other FPS games, but find I get hit on a lot, or abused when they get owned; some people just can't take it.
I've never met another female gamer in person, the closest to gaming my female friends come is probably angry birds, and thats pushing it.
I got into gaming seriously at 17 when I had a spinal cord injury so had to do something to while away the hours, and enjoy it so much still.
Any other Zelda girls out there, or am I the only one?
I'm in Manchester too - work city centre but live northwards towards Yorkshire/Lancashire border :beer:Joe_Boy_1986 wrote: »My fiance doesn't game (at all) and I often wonder how much different life would be if she did...without the tuts of disapproval I imagine.
My ex-boyfriend didn't game and whilst I didn't get the tuts or disapproval he did reduce the amount of time I could game because of the time i was spending with him :mad:Using my phone to post - apologies in advance for any typos0 -
Yes, I'm a girl gamer! I play most things, from random cute phone games to Battlefield 3/Team Fortress 2/Left4Dead 2. I'm currently looking at the Steam sales and telling myself I don't need more games!
I did pick up Grid 2 in the flash sale though. I couldn't resist, I love a pretty racing game0 -
Im 26 and a female gamer!! Like the person on page 2 I think it was, I remember playing Chuckie Egg as a kid, also for some strange reason I remember a game called Yes Prime Minister on the Amstrad!
My older sister and I got a SNES for Xmas one year, still have it now with lots of original games, like Kirby, Super Mario Allstars and Super Mario Kart etc. Our friends had a Sega Megadrive II and our fave game for that was always Lion King or Golden Axe II.
We also had original Gameboys each with Tetris and Super Mario each plus loads of other games, again many I still have. Then moved onto PS2 with games like Silent Hill and Crash Bandicoot.
We now have an XBOX 360, PS3 and a Nintendo 3DS, but the PS3 is a glorified bluray palyer. Fave game on it was Heavy Rain and have just bought The Last Of Us but not had time to start it yet. We only buy games for PS3 that are exclusive to it. My favourite games on 3DS are the Professor Layton series...We also have the PL movie.
If a game comes out on both consoles we will always buy it on 360. My faves are GTA series and Fable series. My partner is more into his racing games like GRID and Dirt etc but he is also a big fan of Bioshock and Halo series. We will play pretty much anything to be fair! And he told me yesterday that he has already preordered the XBOX One...!
Forgot to add, also a big Zelda fan!! Keep meaning to replay the games on the SNES and Gameboy!Slimming World Member - Started 05/02/150 -

How nice to see so many girl gamers 'coming out'.:rotfl:
I am an avid PS gamer, having all the consoles and a mountain of games which have replay value.
Have been gaming for 15 yrs , now 73yrs old and still buying and enjoying FPS, never been a fan of RPG's.
First game was Spyro the Dragon bought with PS console for my foster children, I then got hooked as I had to learn how to use it to help the children complete the game as they had never seen anything like it.
Too many games to list, my latest buy is used copies of Battlefield 1, 2 & 3 looking forward to no 4.
Problem now is do I buy PS4? I have 2 PS3's 1 PS3 backward compatible and they are still going well.
I don't play MP online, I like the Campaigns in single player.
I do not envisage a time when I won't be gaming, it is a hobby I cannot do without.
Friends think I am crazy, 'it is so unfeminine', my Brother thinks I have 'lost the plot' but my grandchildren are full of admiration at my skills to do things they can't do and call on me for help when they get stuck..they are all teenagers lol.
Enjoy your gaming!You live..You learn.:)0 -

Just posted this on the 'Any Senior Gamers out there' thread.
I'm female and in my 60's and play games regularly and I don't really know of any friends who do - or else we just keep it to ourselves LOL!.
I started out with the basic PC games which myself and daughters enjoyed. Hubby doesn't 'get' them! Then I bought PS1's for both my daughters.
My daughters bought me a PS1 for my 50th birthday as they had taken theirs with them when they went to Uni and I was bereft without it, then I moved up to PS2, have a DS and updated it to 3DS, have Xbox and Xbox Kinect and Wii, and I love them all!
Fave on PS1 and 2 was Spyro and other type of platform games. Zelda is a fave on the DS. I'm not into any battle/gory/football type games, I do have some but not really played them to be honest.
At the moment I'm into Zelda Ocarina of Time on 3DS and Zelda Twilight Princess on the Wii. Professor Layton is a favourite and I get the new ones (when they come out) for Christmas or Birthdays from my hubby (which is why I had to update to 3DS!).
If I'm honest I also like the PC games which I play through facebook (in my lunchtimes as I'm still working!). I don't play online though - just for my own enjoyment.0
