Because my last blood test showed my cholesterol has risen to 6.8 I was put on cholesterol tablets. Apparently htese further increase weight gain so I have now been put on Reductil to counteract that.

Weight gain is one of the worst things for me and now at 12st 13lb I feel awful. I now go to the gym 3 times a week, walk 6 miles on one weekend day and cycle 8 miles on the other. Not because I love excercise but to try and stop anymore weight gain.

Apart from that one thing I feel great but am in turmoil as to the best things to eat to help the thyroid problem. I've read some of the linked pages but can it be true that things like brocolli can be bad for you or am I misunderstanding the matter?
The curve that can set a lot of things straight is a smile

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this: Sorry, giving or asking for medical advice is not permitted on this forum as it’s not what this site is about. While discussing medical insurance policies, cheaper ways to see consultants, cashback for alternative health treatments and how to get specific medication cheaper (legally) are all perfectly acceptable we ask you specifically not to discuss what to do in the event of certain medical problems (please see this rule on the Health Board). If you have any questions about this policy please email !!!!!!.
