You should be getting your thyroxine increased gradually every three months or so till you get the right level.
As far as I remember it was suggested to reduce sugar and salt and junk foods in general.

Increase fruit and veg as much as you can and do not take tablets with tea or coffee as it stops them working properly.

If you do a google search there is a thyroid association which could help reassure you.

Feel free to p.m. me if you would like to as I have been on thyroxine for over a year now and still getting to grips with things.

cardtart, the best advice is to see your GP or Practice Nurse who can help with individual concerns, but please let us know how you get on icon7.gif

I was just rather half-heartedly reading this thread earlier today. As I haven't been feeling quite right for a while I did a quick 'Google' to see what the symptoms are......Oh dear...nearly a full house! (Never knew pains and numbness in the hand was one...I thought it was RSI!) Hey ho...got an appointment to see the doc on Friday!

Thanks to MSE'rs - you've made me do something at last. icon11.gif
