Hiya Drunkstar
I am with virgin and got a letter offering BT Vision, up to 8mb BB and UK Eve/WE calls for staggered amounts on 18 month contract
Now what does this include - Line Rental/Calls/BB and BT Vision?? Any other costs or set up stuff - and is anything negotiable?? I realise you are in retentions but BT always confuses me haha0 -
Its not negotiable unfortunatly. However it should include line rental. What pricing does it say and I will break it down for you.The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20

3 in one deal
£19-45 1st 6 months
£28-49 2nd 6 months
£31-94 Last 6 months
BT Together Option 2
BT Total BB Option 1
BT Vision
Various small print regarding installation costs
May be worth getting TBB Option 2 but not sure what that adds0 -
Yeah that includes line rental, E+W calls, BB and Vision (though Vision is dependant on your BB speed and freeview in your area). The standard cost for setting up the Vision is £90 all in, but at the moment my dept are doing it at £30.
TBB 2 will add about a fiver. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20 -
So does the TV come through the ADSL or via an aerial? We have freeview via the aerial and i am 500m from the Eastville exchange so may get 8MB
So if you take TBB 2 you get the home hub free as an install and can get vision for £30?0 -
The TV is via your aerial, but the downloadable stuff is from the adsl. And basicly yes.The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20

hope you can help Drunkstar. Per month I'm on the option 1 rental plan paying about 9.57 and for BB I'm paying 21.27 a month. We don't download films but use it for surfing, email and I suspect the kids want to download music. What would be the best package for me?Books - the original virtual reality.

OK, so thast without VAT I assume. You look like you have option 3 BB, if you are out of contract go to the above stated number and get the discount of a fiver off option 3 (it works out at the same price if you went to option 2 and took the smaller discount on that) with free Bt vision. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. It works!
Just negotiated a 12 month deal on Option 3 for £20 a month (saving £60 a year) including free hub.
Superb service on the phone (despite being on hold for AGES initially) - really helpful & patient (I tend to dither about somewhat!)
So, many thanks again to Drunkstar! I've been with BT Broadband for 7 years now, and was reluctant to switch, but was seriously considering going with Virgin. You helped me to stay. BT should be proud of you...SKIPS STONES FOR FUDGE0
