I am on option 1 BB. I used to opay £17.99 for my broadband but I got a deal for £14 a month and a new contract. Please, Drunkstar, can you help me to get a better deal, I think I will have to wait when the contract runs out. I could get BB free with sky but have read negative feedbacks from them. BT is no longer compettive but I have been with them a long time and decide to remain there. Thanks

Yeah, thats pretty much the one youd be looking at. Ask about free Bt Vision.

Drunkstar, I wonder if you could possibly advise me, I am on option 2 with about 8 weeks to go on my contract, I would like to get a price reduction if possible, I only use the hub like a modem, on the internet approx 2 hrs a day just surfing, not interested in bt vision, or bt talk, just a little advice would be appreciated.
    Many Thanks

OK, phone the number I quoted earlier and say you want a discount. You can go to option 1 and get a discount...I would guess at a three quid discount as what would be offered.
You dont need option 2 looking at your usage, so just get teh best discount on 1 they will give you. :)

bt are now offering a cheaper deal on those who renew their broadband total contract for 12 months - bringing cost down to £24.99 s month. They ask you if you want 12 or 18mths but no incentive to sign up for 18mths - they also say it is a regrade and send out a new home hub. Not sure if it is any different to current one yet

I just had a chap from BT call me about 5 minutes ago offering me a £2 discount to sign a new 12 month contract. I told him to call me back in August when my contract was due for renewal. I also told him that given the deals Talk Talk keep offering me at my door, and Sky keep offering over the phone at least once a week, a 2 quid discount was never going to be anywhere near enough to keep my custom.

Should be interesting to see if they do call back and up the ante. Drunkstar, I'd value your opinion. :)

    OB.

What are you on now and what/how often do you use your internet for?

Option 3. Internet gets used a lot - Me, 2 kids, good lady wife.

I also download quite a bit overnight (if you get my meaning). ;)

Sod that then, when your contract has 2 months left on it ring 0800800880 option2. They can give you £5pcm off and the free hub. Plus the £5 off is off of the new price for option 3 which is £24.99. So that will be £19.99

I don't need a free hub, already got 2. First one never worked, second one won't pick up any wireless PCs (couldn't see my laptop 2 inches away). They sent me a Voyager 2500V that works a treat.

But I'll certainly take your advice re. the 5 quid off the new price.

Really appreciate the help; consider your Thanks button clicked.

PS. Apologies to OP for the slight hijack. :o
