the laptop offer I havent ever heard of for option1, and in fact has been removed for option 3.The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20 -
Thanks very much Drunkstar - you've saved me a packet:T :j
I've downgraded to Option 2 (from option 3) for my broadband for £14.99 instead of the £26.99 I was paying  -don't need unlimited usage now- a free wireless hub and BT vision. I got the BT vision on the 18mth contract as it would have otherwise cost me £30 set up fee for a 12 month contract - I tried my best to get them to drop it but they couldn't so I got the 6mths free then just £4.50 for the tv package for 12mths which is only £54 and I could do with catching up with programmes like Lost;) so it works out at £3 a mth - can't complain!!! Oh and for just £1.45 extra a month I get free evening and weekend calls on my phone.
Just a quick question when i was haggelling with her and pushed her cause I was thinking on staying on Option 3 for the hub she said she could let me drop to the Option 2 and keep the hub - now looking at the web pages with Option 3 you get a hub with hub phone and Option 2 just a hub - I'm assuming I get a hub with hub phone cause she said I could drop down an option and still get the hub on option 3 !!!! Should I not assume and call them back to clarify or what to see what arrives - or won't it do any good now that its all gone through - but I've literally only been off the phone to them for 10 mins.
Sorry to hassel you and thanks again for the super saving advice:D0 -

Hi drunkstar, I hope you could give some advice here.
I'm going to have a BT phone line, I was asked to pay £124.99 for setting it up (previous owner of the house, had BT line but later changed to Talk Talk). Any chance of paying less?
I'll then need to have BT Total Broadband Option 1 or 2 (I've got a wireless router, do I still need Option 2 BT Home Hub? is it any different?) Can I get £14.99 for Option 2 or £12.99 for Option 1 as a new customer?
Your reply will be highly appreciated. thanks very much0 -
but what do you think the chances are of getting anything more than £12.99 or an i asking to much?
Thats the lowest I am afraid.lovemoneysaving wrote: »Hi drunkstar, I hope you could give some advice here.

As a new customer you will heve to take the standard price I am afraid. As for the £125, there is a half price connection offer, but that has an 18 month BT contract where you have to make 10 calls a month through BT or the remiander of the connectioon is charged. The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Calls can be manually dialed through BT by using the prefix 1280.The "Bloodlust" Clique - Morally equal to all. Member 20

Thanks for that Drunkstar. So if I ask for an 18 month BT contract I get the line installed for £65-ish, I can sign up to sky 3-for-whatever and provided I route 10 calls per month, of any duration, through BT I will not be charged the extra, and after 18 months I can stop routing calls through BT?0
