Its £5.95 from april 1st. You pay for non geographical calls (mobiles, 0845 ect), but other than that its fine yeah. Though talk to Heinz on the telephone board and he could help more than I. :)

  • I think I'm suffering from ML's loyalty sickness - have been with BT for phone since '99 and now have bb, vision and phone with them at a cost of £38 monthly. Any suggestions for cost cutting or any offers I've missed?
  • What do you have? Any contracts left?

  • Hi, Drunkstar / BT god!

I apologise if you've already covered this, but it'll take me a day to read the whole thread.

I've had a BT landline for about 3 years, and recently purchased a laptop for the first time. Therefore, I need to find a broadband provider, and will probably take out Option 3 with BT.

I spoke to a BT advisor in person about a week ago, and he said that it would cost £30 to set up broadband, a further £50 to install the software into the hub, and then I'd pay a monthly fee of £17.99 for the 1st 6 months / £24.99 for the following year. Also I don't think he made any reference to a Hub Phone or BT Vision.

Please can you answer the following:

    1) Is it cheaper / are there more benefits if I order from a BT shop, subscribe over the phone or join online?

    2) Can I get the Hub Phone and BT Vision Box for free with option 3? Also, what do these products provide me with, and are they free to use?

    3) Can I avoid the setting up fees - initial: £30, hub software installation: £50, & BT Vision installation: £80-£100?

    4) Once I've started Option 3, how long into the contract do I have to be before I can phone for a £5 per month reduction?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

    Many thanks

Sorry if already posted but I am going to leave Primus option 2 with BB (nothing but problems just lately) and was thinking about BT Option 3, I have 4 children all with PC's in their rooms and connection to BB. They also call aloft of Mobiles (I still wish to retain 18185) whats the best deal?
    Thanx in advance Mazio40.
