I was a youngster not that long ago (or I still like to think I am
) If it were me I'd like to do a nice romantic meal and drinks with my OH... I feel I'm maybe a bit low key now
I blame sweet 16, TOWIE, the kids unrealistic hopes and dreams, never had anything like this in my day but my day was such a long time ago:rotfl::rotfl:0 -

Teenagers have no manners these days, not had any definite introductions, neither party made any effort, the kids are well into each other, the parents are an embarrassment :rotfl:0 -

Reminded me of friends of ours, last summer their daughter was 16 and wanted a bit of a party. She was realistic and knew they didn't have money to waste on a Big Party. She just wanted a few friends over for nibbles and music, no more. Her parents borrowed a marquee/tent from us, and some barbeques from friends, her Dad plays in a local band so he and a few friends rehearsed some classic corny songs... It was a big surprise for her and her friends when they came back from Pizza Express and there was a marquee in the garden with all their friends....!0

It's celebrating life, love, departing friendship, a soon to be birthday, even writing it down makes me laugh:rotfl: that's youngsters for you
Isn't that what you usually do with your friends, not with your olds tagging along?Accept your past without regret, handle your present with confidence and face your future without fear0
