    Hi Cherabelle,

I think you're on the right track, it seems like a valid claim.

You do have an alternative to litigation, SOP are their ADR supplier...

    https://soep-online.de/welcome.html

There is an English version, so read up on their t+c's, rules etc and consider them, you can still use the courts later if required.

    Good luck.

Hi all. I've come over from the BA thread as I've been told by those with more knowledge than me that I need to claim from Vueling who operated the flight rather than BA who we booked the flight with.

We were.flying from Algiers to Heathrow via Barcelona on 29th August at 7.55 and the first leg was delayed by an hour. No reason given by the crew. We did board pretty much on time but there seemed to be a delay with getting some passengers on the plane and they were doing head counts and asking everyone to stay in their seats while they went up and down repeatedly with a clicker counting us all. An hour late we eventually took off.
As soon as we.landed and the doors opened, we ran as fast as we could to the transit area before passport control, to be met by a lady who told us we were.now too late to board our flight to LHR and had to rearrange another flight.
There then followed a bit of a nightmare.with us running around the airport from BA to Iberia to Vueling.
We were told that they had booked us on the next flight to LHR and to run to the gate (one of the furthest away gates!) only to be told by staff at the gate that we weren't booked.and would have to go back to Vueling again.
They managed to get us booked on.a flight to Gatwick and arranged for.a car to take us to LHR to pick.up our car.
All in all, we.should have landed at LHR at 13.05 but ended up at LGW by 18.45.

I initially put in the claim.with BA (very smooth process) as they were the airline we.had booked.with. Having been informed that we need to claim through Vueling as.they operated both flights I have tried but I can't do it. I've tried repeatedly. I get an error message saying it couldn't be submitted and to.try later or contact CS. Or that they can't find a record of any booking.
When I try to contact them online I only get the same enquiry form that I have submitted many times.
If I ring the number, it gives an automated recording asking to say which option I want. These are.all to do with sales or changes to bookings. No.option to speak to anyone.

If anyone can help, I would really appreciate it as.k hae wasted hours on this since our return.

I repeat my advice given yesterday in the BA thread:
Have you downloaded Vauban's superb guide? This will help you in your claim. Forget emails website webforms etc, just send good old fashioned letter, with proof of posting, give them 14-21 days then send NBA.

Have you tried call in Customer Services to get an address? 02035143971
Resolver, website forms are all very well if they work. Often they don't.
Ink and paper is a well proven method.
It also allows you to dictate your timetable to a greater degree.
If you're new. read The FAQ and Vauban's Guide

  • Rosie383. I see you have been trying to complete this form but are unable to. So why don't you write a letter before action, template on page 6 of Vauban's guide? Probably best to do 2 one for compensation and another for any expenses you believe you are due. Get a receipt from the post office as proof of posting. Give them 14 days to pay up if they don't sue them or hand it on to Bott & co or EuClaim who will take around a third of you compensation but you won't have the stress.

Thank you very much for the help.
I think that I haven't actually found Vauban's guide as whatever I was reading was not clear cut and I definitely didn't find a template for a letter of NBA. Will have another look later and am happy to put pen to paper rather than fighting g with their website.
    Many thanks once again.

Thank you for pointing me to page 6. I genuinely missed you posting that before. I appreciate you doing it again.
