Flightstats show...BA2717 30th June 16
scheduled departure time 20:30, actual departure 22:53
scheduled arrival time 22:15, actual arrival 00:32
your delay was 2 hours 17 minutes, so less than the 3 hours required for compensation
After 2 hours the airline may issue refreshment vouchers but, if you were on board the plane there would have been nowhere to spend these.0 -
I returned home through Malaga Airport on 14/7/16 and noticed a BA A320, registration G-MIDS, parked on a remote stand. It was obviously suffering from some form of technical fault.
I kept an eye on what was happening with this aircraft and surprisingly it was there for eight days! That must have cost BA a small fortune.
This from The BA Source...
British Airways A320 G-MIDS Returns from Malaga.
July 20, 2016
Following the technical issue it encountered on 12th July, British Airways A320 G-MIDS positioned Malaga – London Gatwick this afternoon as BA9272.
BA seem to be having an unlucky spell at Malaga as this is not the only recent example.
If you have been caught up in one of these delays you will almost certainly be due compensation if it went over 3 hours. Please read Vaubans superb guide. To find it Google and then download 'vaubans guide'.0 -
Put in a claim a couple of days ago against BA for delay and subsequent missed connection on the BA66 from PHL to LHR on July 22nd.
BA66 was delayed just under 3 hours due to a faulty heating sensor this caused a missed connection LHR - EDI.
BA could not get me to Edinburgh or Glasgow even on the 23rd so had to take offered reroute to Newcastle and make my own way home from there.
Was due to get home at 10.50am on the 23rd but didn't get in till 5.30pm.
Claiming for compensation and taxi and train expenses from Newcastle Airport to Edinburgh Waverley.

I gave them a phone today to see what was happening and they said there is a backlog and it'll be roughly 15 days from submission to decision. Will wait and see.
In fairness, the last time I had a comp and expenses claim with them it all went through pretty quickly (#1113) albeit after some initial dodgy info on their part!

Can someone please clarify if I am supposed to contact BA first before I use the resolver tool?
Oops already sent everything through resolver and now I've to escalate it but I'm doubting if I should have contacted BA first.Trying to claim flight delay compensation from British Airways0 -

It doesn't matter either way. Resolver is just a letter writing tool - you can use it or not. Personally, I'd just write to the airline directly, but now you started with Resolver just see it through.0
