No, you did it in the right order. Now you have to be patience and wait possibly many weeks for a reply . I think 8 in the maximum

Try calling BA customer relations to see if they have received it. Do you have a reference number?

I have a resolver reference but no acknowledgement from BA.

I just don't know whether to apply directly to BA - found it really difficult to find the flight delay compensation form - only one I could find was flight delay expenses - which I'm assuming is the same thing?

I did escalate the complaint with Resolver today as directed.

    Thanks for your help :)

Can ask for a little advice here please, on our return from florida last month our flight was cancelled at gatwick |(we had booked glasgow/gatwick/orlando) going to glasgow and BA we only found out when we switched our phones back on upon landing in gatwick, we came off the flight to be greeted by BA staff who told us if we had a text allocating us onto another flight then we were lucky!
We were booked onto the 9.30pm flight from Heathrow and this was supposed to be going onto the 10.30am flight to Glasgow and we were lucky!!!! 11 hour delay and we had to go get our luggage (we had booked it straight through mco to glasgow) then get the bus tickets to get us from Gatwick to take us to Heathrow they paid for these and we were handed food vouchers to be spent in 10 mins as the bus was leaving for heathrow! we asked for a room to get freshened up as we had been on the go for over 24 hours and got told no they were very smug and unhelpfull :(
When we got home hubby fired off a complaint email to ba who eventually gave a non personal reply saying they have to cancel flights from time to time for various reasons including the weather and on this occasion there would be no compensation but to send in any out of pocket expenses incurred. We were told it was technical issues with the plane was the reason for cancelling. Do we accept this or is there anything else we can do? This is the first time we have had a delay and by the time we took off it was now into the 12 hour. Any advice is most welcome thank you.

Was there a more convenient easyJet flight from Gatwick-GLA they could've put you on?

Have a look on https://www.basource.com to see if your cancelled ba flight is listed.

No they said all flights were full even up to Edinburgh our other choice was they were going to bus us up and that would have taken 8 hours which after coming off a 9 hour flight sounded numb bum!

    what date was your flight?
were there other delays/cancellations on that route on the same day? (info on flightstats)
what do the free checkers on the NWNF sites show for your flight (they will confirm whether they believe compensation is due or not) (e.g. EUClaim or Bottonline)
