Some advice plse , i went down the route of trying to claim compensation myself and was refused, so instructed a NWNF back in April, still not resolved and to be quite honest not really happy with there response when i ask for info. People on this flight have been paid compo, so should i bin the NWNF and try going through resolver?

Who did you go with, and what agreement have you signed up to?

I'd rather not say, but not Bott & Co, the agreement is they contact Thomson, but they have to contact me if the decide to take it to court I have the option to say no, because it will incur a further fee.

I have read the document no where does it say I can' t cancel my agreement with them.

Well if the agreement says nothing about cancelling your contract, then tell them you want out. But I'd be surprised if there was nothing in there on this ...

I would just like to say thanks for the help that was on here to start with. I have wrangled with Thomson's for a while, but after taking them to court, and getting default judgment, I now have my compensation, with the added bonus of interest included. If Thomson had settled sooner then they would have saved themselves a couple of hundred pounds - imagine if that is in all the cases how much they are costing themselves!

It was straightforward following the guidance here, so thanks to all who have helped without knowing. And now to find another holiday with the money.

    Thanks

From personal experience I wouldn't bother with Resolver. All that happens is they escalate complaints from Thomson's Customer Service (such as that is) and eventually up to the top guy, but it means nothing, because no one from Thomson has the decency to respond. All that did is wasted 2/3 months of time.

After getting nowhere with Resolver I decided to use NWNF solicitors. Sorry I did, because if I'd complained to the CAA I'd have been compensated by now, and got to keep every penny of it.

I am in the process of taking Thomson to court, all lodged but no date as yet. My problem is that I do not have a booking reference, which they are asking for ot boarding passes. I can take two witnesses but they are family members to state that we did fly but nothing else. Will they throw this out?

valindia - try and find other proof ie on-line booking, travel agent, credit card bills, airport purchases etc but if worried spend £10 on a SAR. Get witness statements from family as you suggest ... sworn and witnessed statements (no need for them to attend court) .... you will be ok - Thomson likely to give in before you get to court.
