Thanks, ive read that knock on affects are not extraordinary as its isn't actually your flight that's affected and the one previous. as we hadn't even got a plane to fly on due to the previous problems on flight before.
Just wanted to see if anyone has had any luck with similar claims..
I will proceed with a N1 then, what's the best way of working out interest is it 8% per year adding the interest on each time and then reapplying the 8% to the previous year (plus interest accrued) and do you work out the amount of claim from date of delay or today's date as obviously exchange rates are better back then in the context of a claim...
Thanks

It is simple 8% interest, not compounded. Claim from date of delay and convert using historical exchange rates from the delay date as well.0

Great so basically, work out the amount in pounds using exchange rate from the day, then apply the interest which would be 8% per year x 4.5 then add then onto the original base claim.
So 600 euros + 4.5 (years) of 8% per year on 600 each year not 600+8%+8%+8% and so on. Per person
So €600 x 0.8566 =£513.66
£513.66 x 8% =£41.09
£41.09 x 4.5 (Years /52 Months) = £164.36
Total claim per person inc. interest = £513.66+£164.36=£678.02
Is this correct way of working it out... obviously dont want it rejected based on incorrect workings out.
Thanks for all your help and guidance.
Cheers

To find the daily rate of interest, take the amount you are claiming and multiply it by 8% then divide this figure by 365. This is a sum of money, not a percentage, which equates to the amount of interest accruing daily. Multiply the daily rate by the total number of days the debt has been owed in order to get a total amount of interest. Then add this into the claim amount.
Calculate in € first then only when you get to a 'final' figure apply the conversion rate to give £.0 -

Ok now im filling out the N1 form, I have a bit of a query, our holiday was booked with First Choice, but the flight was TOM104 obviously its a package company owned by Thomsons so do I address Thomsons on the N1 Form or First Choice?
I have this, assuming its Thomsons (As thats who has been responding to my original letters):
In Relation to Thomsons what is main address for this, is this correct:
Thomson Airways Limited
TUI Travel House,
Crawley Business Quarter,
Fleming Way, Crawley,
West Sussex,
RH109QL
Also is this the same address for the Defendant’s name and address for service as when sending LBA this was:
After Travel Customer Support,
First Choice Holidays,
Wigmore House,
Wigmore Lane,
Luton,
LU2 9TN
Which do I use in each of the 2 sections.
Also for the people who have completed N1 forms, if you could help with my other thread here:

Hi
Logged a complaint and the 28 days is coming up on Wednesday
Do I re-send the complaint online or by letter, or just leave it for now?
Thanks0 -
Tommo - if you mean a claim I would give it 7 days after the 28 then thoroughly read Vauban's Guide then issue a 14 day NBA.0

Scorpio, in my Claim Form I used their registered office (the Crawley one). For my LBA and when I sent them my Draft Particulars I sent it to both the addresses you have put.0
