Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Thomas Cook ONLY

Submitted a claim on 20th June 2014 for a 5 hour delay to cancun from Gatwick back in November 2010.
Yesterday I received a voucher for £982 for final settlement for 2 passengers who travelled.
I could push for cash but that might get spent where as this guarantees a free/cheap holiday next year.
Amazed at the speed of the turnaround and the acceptance without debate from thomas cook0 -
I submitted a request/complaint on 08/06/14 via Thomas Cook's website, received a reply which said they would aim to sort it within 28 days but that's now passed with no answer from them. What's my next step? Keep complaining to Thomas Cook and if so, how, phone, email, letter? Or go to CAA?Excuse any mis-spelt replies, there's probably a cat sat on the keyboard0

Hi, I'm wondering if anyone can help me. My husband and I went to Santorini in 2010 for our tenth wedding anniversary, with Thomas Cook, the flight was delayed 8 hours going and 71/2 hours coming home, I put in a complaint and received £700 for the flight coming home but nothing for the flight going out due to a technical fault, in light of the recent court ruling involving Jet2 where would I stand claiming for the flight going out?

Hi I was on the same flights departing 31/10/2010 returning 14/09/2010, and I too got the £700 for the returning flight. I have now put it in the hands of a no win no fee company.
I found out the outgoing flight was due to late returning from maintenance and a flap drive unit needed which they had to send for to Luton so I think that is a technical fault.0 -
I don't know if it is just me but I cannot get the follow-up form on the CAA website to work. TC will not accept blame for a delay from Tunisia earlier this year so I filled in the CAA form and sent the relevant correspondence. Had a reply to say they were very busy but would look into it. After a few weeks, I tried to follow this up from their site but I could not get the appropriate window to accept information. The CAA said on Radio4 a few weeks ago that they were dealing with all referrals with no more than a ten week delay. My referral is three months now and I cannot pursue it through their website. I have phoned and emailed their office but have had no response. Is the broken link just me or is it a way of cutting their workload?0

Checkmate - general advise on this forum is that the CAA are useless and a complete waste of time. Maybe side-step them and just take TC to court.0

Been following this forum for a while but have an interesting one and glad of any help..
Summary:
Delayed flight, 26 hours.. Went to court, TC never arrived.
Order given in my favor, TC told to pay in 14 days.
Been in contact with them (TC), saying they wont pay as they have been given the wrong date on court paper work and it should be set a side. Never had anything from the court saying this but have had it on the phone, they confirm they made a mistake..
Court are a mess, told me they are "really busy" and how she had to work until 6 o'clock the other night . Been passed to a senior judge to see what is going to happen.. This could take another week apparently!
Said that's not really good enough, as this mess is a mistake of the court, not the Defendant or the Claimant.. Was then told I was lucky to have the first Order, as it normal takes them 5 weeks to send them out!- So as it stands I have an order than I can enforce from later this week.
- I have a Judge that might look at it this week..
- No communication from the court of the mistake.
Whats my best option? Enforcement? but it could then be set aside?
Wait for them to do some work and sit it out?
Worst part is we pay for this service!
Thanks in advance.:T
