It's a bit like applying for a job - anyone can get a job (or complete a template letter)-but knowing if the salary and perks are the best you can expect or if playing hard to get will get you more (or the original job revoked)....is pretty much the same principle.
I do agree it would be nice if people (especially those delayed on non EU carriers on their inbound) read the FAQ first..... but then life would be so boring if we were all perfect !!

Just thought I would update to let you know Thomas Cook paid up in full, no vouchers just cash into the bank account, happy days.

Seems like I've been one of the lucky ones but perseverance pays off.0 -
Hi guys again;
Just a quick update on my claim....
Passed to info onto a nwnf company, got a reply today that says if i have not got proof of boarding passes or tickets or emails etc they cannot pursue the claim !
All i had was the booking ref number and a claim ref from thomas cook stating that the delay was out of their control.
Oh well, good luck to all others
Thanks:beer:0 -

All is not lost, perhaps change to Bott & Co.
Or search the threads for SAR and read around the search results.Posts are not advice and must not be relied upon.0 -
Hi, could anyone answer my question?
I received vouchers after a claim for a delay on my holiday last year but the vouchers have to be used by a certain date and cannot be split. ( there were 9 of us, me and my family and my son and his wife and wee one) The voucher states that i need to be travelling when using the vouchers but my son and family cant go with us this year so are unable to use the voucher.) Can i tell them i want cash in place of the vouchers?
Many Thanks.0 -

Hi, im a newbie. im looking for advice, myself and my partner booked a cruise through our local thomas cook branch in 2008. This was with p&o cruises with a charter flight (thomas cook) from gatwick to barbados. The return journey was delayed by 5 hours as (this is what we were toldnat the time), a member of crew was ill and they didnt have a replacement. I can get the flight number and exact details of how long we were delayed etc, but from what i am seeing, I also need my booking reference number. I cannot find this in my own records anywhere. The local thomas cook branch i booked with has now closed down. Who do i get in touch with to find out my booking info? Any help would be greatly appreciated0
