When you say appeal, I assume you don't mean appeal? If you do, ignore everything below.

There is some doubt whether you can claim "on behalf of" other passengers but you can make a single claim with 5 (or more) claimants. You can't use MCOL for this many claimants so you need to download form N1 and complete manually then file by post, or at local court.

You need to read the FAQs as the principles for MCOL and paper claims are obviously the same.

David I just got a little daunted with so much information and wanted clarification.

As I said, I am really not being funny but if you find that daunting, I would definitely contact a no win no fee firm because it gets a whole lot more complicated.

David just too much information to take in. I appreciate your input though.

After my treatment by TC I will need to toughen up as I tend to fight this all the way. Really appreciative of all the information.

Do not want to use a No Win No Fee firm. With all the information and a little help from this forum I should be able to do this and WIN.

Well good luck however you decide to proceed.
  • Here is final email received. We got £334.82 each

'Further to our telephone conversation last week, I have now had a response from the investigations team
As I have now been notified that there were operational issues which arose that also contributed to the delay on day of your flight, my instructions are to compensate you for this delay without any admission
Compensation is stipulated in Article 7(1) of the EC 261/2004 Regulations. As your flight from KGS – LGW is 2,682Km you will be entitled to 400 Euros based on the exchange rate on the date of your flight, which equates to £344.82
Would you therefore forward your bank account details so that I can instruct our finance team to proceed with the compensation payment?

I look forward to hearing from you

Started in July. Got ' MOT' letter in August. Went to Greece who wrote 3 times. No response made to them. TC said should have involved CAA here, but later accepted that were wrong and claim was ' mis-investigated'. Involved Tina Dunkin at CAA who could not help.
Passed to in house legal team who wrote to Greece and said would not pay up due to ' bird ingestion'. We asked TC more specific questions that they did not/ could not answer. Copied Harriet Green in.

Greece wrote to us at same time saying they accepted TC version. But TC wrote to us, just slightly before that email, to say they would pay up ! NO MENTION OF HAZAR CASE AT ALL

Thanks to all who have spent time on this...including man with lovely hat !

That's actually beneficial to you. It would have been slightly less at current rates!

David another question to ask. I realise I am jumping ahead on this one but I have read in a number of posts about a defence bundle.

Please can you advise what information I will require in the defence bundle that will be beneficial to my case,

I am still reading through various posts.

    Many thanks
