Many Thanks.I assume you have not attempted to read this thread to find out it anyone else has had the same issue....if you go to the "search this thread" and type the word "voucher" you will find over 300 posts pop up many ask the very same question and the others give the answer
Or indeed see any one of my over 1000 posts on various threads where my signature reveals the answer to the most asked question in the history of flight delay compensation.
Yawn. Sorry to a newbie and all that but it's getting too much now0 -
I have Just Opened a letter from Thomas Cook and inside is a voucher for £1017 this is the second claim I have made with them and the second time of them sending vouchers. The last time they did that I sent them a letter and told them I wanted the cash or a cheque, which they did in the end, send a cheque. I will be doing the same on Monday, but why does it take them so long and why do they keep giving themselves all this extra work. They must know they are going to have to do it in the end.
So do not be put off by their antics press on and you will succeed in the end.0 -
Had a 13hr delay from tunisia to manchester back in sept 2012 on TCX2017.
Put a claim in for delay about 1-2 weeks ago. Thomas cook emailed voucher for £339 on 12th Feb. Emailed back, Saying would prefer cheque instead, noreply. On the 15th Feb phoned customer relations on 0844 8798 136 (select redeem voucher from options). Explained can't use voucher in time (already had holidays booked) and could I redeem voucher for cash. Nice lady in customer service said no problem, took my case number and details, cancelled voucher and is currently paying compensation via BACS into bank account. Job done in under 5 minutes.

Since my last post..I have to say I have followed all the guidelines in the FAQs on here...I requested all information between Thomas Cook and myself under the Freedom of Information act....I now have all this, they have received my copy of Notice Before Action letter, yesterday I received an email from Customer Relations at TC who stated they have now closed my case, I am planning on going to small claims court now but the cost is quite confusing? Has anyone pursued this route and could give me any pointers? thank you.0

Have a read of the first few posts of the Taking the Airlines to court thread. Also, look at the link I posted recently in the Thomson thread on behalf of Sam - he's put all his court documents online, and it's a good read!0
