Flight delay and cancellation compensation, Thomas Cook ONLY

So this is the next thing that CAA ought to be coming down hard on - TC paying out but repeatedly trying to fob people of with vouchers. Very unprofessional
I'm pretty sure the CAA don't come down hard on anything. Maybe they could send a strongly worded letter to TC telling them they are very naughty? I doubt they even have the balls to do that.0 -
I'm beginning to think these threads are a wind up.
Here you have someone that was able to claim, in writing, for two separate delays, yet has to post on a forum to ask if cash is available instead of vouchers?
Hmmm.
I respectfully suggest that the forum regulars simply do not answer this question ever again.0 -
Hi folks
just looking for some info regarding a thomas cook flight tcx049l from sanford to manchester back in june 2008 11hr delay
having sent a claim to the airline first response delay was only for 35 minutes therfore no refund due when i then emailed back saying it was delayed 11hrs they then wrote back saying they had checked with the engineer and that it was of a technical nature and these were extrodinary, i have sent this info to the caa after completing there online claims form
just hope someone else was on this flight and wha the outcome was

OP not to be confused with me of course
Read the FAQ's Mark, especially the bit about time limits.0 -
and if you do need to post further, do so on the Thomas Cook thread0

As suspected my default judgement against TC has been set-aside in court yesterday pending the Huzar appeal. Even though they ignored the original court documents they get away with it again.0

Makes no difference if anyone on this forum was on same flight and/or received compensation. Due to timescale you need to commence NBA/court action almost immediately or if going NWNF hope that one of the firms do not think you are too close to 'deadline' date.0 -
Hi got a reply back from caa saying they cant take up my case due to the backlog of claims and the time frame it would take to get a reply from the airline and the 6 year rule within making a claim to take it to court , should i just go to the small claims court
any help advise please
thanks mark0 -

I have already advised on the appropriate TC thread - please refrain from double posting.0
