I also find it interesting that I have been with my husband for 15 years and most of the posters arguing with me are single. When you live with a man day in day out for most of your adult life you get to understand them.

I'm married, have been for nearly 16 years and I disagree with every word you have typed.

FINALLY got to the end of this thread!!!! Poor old Vik getting so much stick in here!! :rotfl:

OP - really pleased you have told your OH how you are feeling and he was considerate enough to cancel it. Good idea to meet her, I think, and just go by your gut instincts. :)

I must admit, a lot of posters in here don't trust their man!!

    Hello,
I do think I will have to meet her, even if it is just the once. I am sure I would know if anything was going on then.I just hope I can give her the benefit of the doubt when I do first meet her. She may well be a lovely person. All that I can say is my hubby does very clearly know how i feel about this now. So his actions from now on should speak volumes. Time will tell.
    Thankyou all
    Kerry

Seems like a good idea to me, personally flirting is way out and it would have been clamped on within an inch of it's life right from the beginning:rotfl: :rotfl: had it done to me you see, supposedly best mates but boy did she like flirting with H and lots of others, just her way she would say but not my way...we no longer speak and H is here....

There are many opinions on here and some  but it is like black saturn
says strong oppinions yes but until it has been done to you....

Good luck with the meet, let us know how it went.

Ah, but what about those of us who are naturally 'flirty touchy feely'? I can guarantee that if any of you peeps were to meet me, you'd get a massive sloppy kiss! Thats just the way I am.... (wow, this welsh meet is never going to go ahead now is it! ive scared everyone off!!!)

Well from my point of view, my husband never was a 'flirty touchy feely' person, so it isn't the norm, thats why I was worried. If he always had acted like this, it wouldn't of bothered me.

Also I was once told by an old 'flirty touchy feely' friend, that if there is a person they won't flirt with, it is the person they fancy.

    Is'nt life strange.

We can have all kinds of friends, Male & Female, Young & Old, on the 'net and no-one bats an eyelid.

Suggest that we are actually going to be withing touching distance of said person and a red mist rises.

I used to have lots of female friends when I was married and nothing happened and it was all very innocent. Wife accepted it as such and befriended a few herself (didn't make her a lesbian).

Then again a mate of mine, who was also married, also had lots of female friends and took every opportunity to be with them, rather than his wife and obviously this showed up flaws in his marriage.

Point is that we both split from our partners within a few years of one another.

Some people CAN have friendships in the opposite sex and some can't and whether or not it should happen largely depends on the partners' acceptance and insecurity OMHO.

Oh I quite agree with you on both things there!!!!
As i said, Id probably be a bit worried if I was you, but, meet her, shes probably lovely, and if she hasnt got many friends, she'd probably be chuffed to its to have a 'new mate' in you!
And yeah, Im a gobby, touchy feely flirty person, but if i fancy someone, FORGET IT! I cant even be in the same room as them without blushing!!!
