If I was that wife, I'd be extremely suspicious. I'd also be bothered that if it was innocent, he didn't care enough to want to put my mind at rest.******** Never be a spectator of unfairness or stupidity *******"Always be calm and polite, and have the materials to make a bomb"0

.....so what if hubby has a female friend at work who he txts quite a lot but when his wife objects (she has male colleagues at work who she talks to but no contact outside work) then hubby's reply was " arn't I allowed to have friends and accuses wife of being paranoid! but wife isn't allowed to read txts , what then?
I have female friends who i txt alot and would not be impressed if my gf demanded to see these msgs - they're private messages between myself and that female friend and not for her to patrol and scan over.0 -
I would be suspicious too. DH can read all my emails, txts etc and it wouldn't bother me. I find it odd when they get a bit paranoid. It's like they have something to hide.Don't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0

The point is , if you are innocent why refuse to show messages etc to your partner? If it would stop a partner feeling ill and insecure , they wouldn't have to ask me. I would happily show all if I was innocent0

I would never text anything to a male friend that I wouldn't feel comfortable showing my OH.A cloudy day is no match for a sunny disposition~ William Arthur Ward ~0 -
That took up my whole lunch hour!
Hope things work out for you Kerry
What an interesting discussion it spawned! I'm just glad my wife has no problems with me being friends with other women because I'm not sure I'd want to be in a world where I didn't have male and female friends. I've found some of my closest female friends an asset to my marriage not a hinderance - they give the best advice!
To elude to an earlier point, I have been in a position where I've had it 'offered on a plate' and I was away on business so nobody would have found out, but I politely turned down the offer. We're not all animals, some of us still believe in the sanctity of love and marriage.0
