Reclaim Unfair Bank Charges Discussion Area

I posted in this forum earlier today, and included my username xanadu2 so I could find my post with a search if neccessary. So where is it?
My boyfriend needs a parachute account before he reclaims his bank charges from Barclays, but he is always in the red, so wonders how to get one that will let him use his overdraft all the time.
Thanks a lot.

I also need a parachute account (Claiming 1200 from HSBC), and although I have no debt (other than a 1250 overdraft)have a disastrous credit rating & am recently unemployed so no monthly money coming in at the moment. Any Suggestions? Even of a savings type account that I can deposit a few pounds & have a cash card? Especially one I can register online.(I have some savings abroad I can deposit).
Many many thanks0 -

To any users who haven't had an answer to their question on the old discussion thread please feel free to place it here and hopefully someone will have an answer for you.
If you want to ask a question about a specific bank please check the boards to see if you can find a dedicated thread to your bank and pop your question on there.
Don't forget to put your Success story on this thread when you complete your claim and good luck.0 -

Any help would be much appreciated.
You can still claim back for these £12 late payment charges although the cc company will no doubt dispute this.0 -

I had an offer from Natwest which I have sent a letter by special delivery (you do not need to sign for a recorded delivery anymore) refusing the offer. Try and set up another account with another bank as Natwest have said they may close my account if I refuse the offer.
You can also claim for charges to your debit card if they are unlawful charges. Hope this is helpful info for you.:money:
Just read this post again and I wonder if your offer for half what you claimed is actually a more accurate reflection of what you are due as according to your posts you seem to have added in the normal overdraft interest charges along with the Advantage Gold charges. As regards the 8% interest the banks will not include this in any offer they make as this will only be included when/if a case comes to court.
If you are with NatWest with an Advantage Gold/Blue account, please read this thread...

You only pay £10 to get your information. You dont pay anything when you ask them to refund your charges.
One letter, all your account numbers, and one £10 fee is OK to get all the information the bank has on your accounts. How many surrealists does it take to change a lightbulb?

And is this letter ok then,in 2 parts, first part requesting details of any closed accounts in my name,( and/or former married name, though they had the change of name document when i legally reverted to my maiden name). Also giving my previous address where i originally held the sole account.Enclose my d.o.b.,
second part,as the template requesting charges, and enclosing £10.Have i missed anything?
Do i have to send any i/d?0
