Hi Im new to all this so sorry if i seem completely thick!Ive read the success stories on here and people seem to be reclaimimg theres money on their own-is it easier to do it with a company?as I was going to do it with one online that charge 10% of what you get back as this is this lowest one I found.
After reading every1s stories however I am tempted to do it on my own but wouldnt have a clue how to add up all the charges-I read its unlawful above £12 so do u add up the difference?so for example if you got charged £20 that would be £8?or do you just simply add up all the charges??i confused!!!if any one can help!

You need to read Martin's article and then read it all over again. Then you will be ready to start the first step

Angelkt. Do it yourself. I would never have dreamt of reclaiming charges until I joined this site. I approached Capital One and asked them for my charges, using the template on here. They paid up no problem. I didn't get the full amount but I got 90% back. I've now approached Barclaycard and am waiting to hear from them.0

Do you have your list of charges/statements yet? You'll find the list of charges you can claim in this thread. Ignore the £12 guide charge that has been set by OFT meantime.0 -
Hi, this is my first post so apologies if this is a silly question.
I am starting the process of trying to claim back my bank charges and have most of my bank statements from 2004 upto now but have alot missing from 2001 - 2003. I have just phoned my bank to ask if they can send me these out but they have said they will charge me £5 for each months statement which would work out at about £100 - £150. Am I doing this right or should I get this first bit of information another way. My internet account only shows the last 2 years so I can't get the info from there. Many thanks for your help.0
