The Mrs did most of my claim for me, as im a bit lazy.
Expecting the offer letter tomorrow, dont know whether i will accept or not yet???? j
I know this is for success stories only and not for comments but you got the full amount offered, that's fantastic, accept it and buy the Mrs a huge Valentine's pressie as she did most of the work for you! :beer:Reclaimed thanks to this site:
£175 Abbey Mortgage Repayment Fee, £170.03 Capital One Bank Charges £418.07 Lloyds TSB Bank Charges, £2,671.55 Mis-sold Endowment Policy, all for OH0 -
In fact its not really helpful info to say that you can claim back the interest you were charged for going overdrawn. You cannot claim this interest. The banks will check your charges and the interest charges will be taken off any offer, especially if it goes to the court stage.
The 8% interest that you can add by using the Interest Calculator takes into account any interest you would be due because the charges have made you overdrawn.0 -
I have recieved the 6months worth of statements but im confused on one point:
I have some referral charges for £20 (RBS)
Can I claim these back on top of my £28 charges for exceeding my overdraft
Im not exactly sure what these referral charges are, does anyone have a link to what i can claim and what I cant or help me out if I can claim this.
I also have £10 charges which i suspect are from a royalties account charge but im not sure (think i will leave these)0 -
The Royalties account charge can't be claimed, have a read of this thread for the list of want can be claimed.

After speaking to a friend and the success she got from her bank. I decided to send a letter recorded to HSBC for my banks statements which went today. However, after reading this site (which is fantastic by the way) I realise you can get your statements online, which I have just printed.
Can I now go straight to sending them the letter with what they owe me, even though I have asked them for statements. Will this have a effect on the claim?0 -
I am in the process of reclaiming £1679 from HBOS. I'm not sure whether do add interest on, or not. Does anyone have any advice/ experience? Also, if I'm pushed to take legal action, I don't think I can take it to the small claims court in Scotland, if it's over £750, so then what do I do? Will I have to put up legal fees?0

Yes, just send the letter off.0 -
With all the people claiming their bank charges have we not missed the fact that we should be charging them for admin costs, postal costs, time, labour, ink, paper, envelope, heating... STRESS. :rotfl:
Just a thought to brighten the day....

You can say you are claiming £1679 plus £xxx for interest but the interest won't be included should the bank make an offer as this is only due if it ends up going to court.
Have a look at these two websites for claiming in Scotland

I suggest you have the sound turned off when looking at penalty charges website, they have the most awful song on it0 -
I have just noticed that I have been charged £12 late payment fee as I should have made a repayment on my CC 4 days ago. Can anyone please advise whether this is lawful or not? I have already made the repayment now and was effectively only 4 days late.
Any help would be much appreciated.0
