Although I have no idea what you were shown on the screen so am not saying you are wrong. Surely they should honour the price they orignally stated to you. Good luck.
The deal without HD was £17.75. HD @ £10.25 brought it up to £28.
[what made me laugh was the basic package was £0.75 per month - £9 per year
]
Entertainment makes it £0.75
Entertainment +makes it £3.75
Movies makes it £10.75
movies halves the price of Sports, which then is halved again! 17.75
HD no discount is another 10.25.
Now cursing that I waited for "permission" to get the package0 -
you will find the lowest monthly cost is 10.75 with this offer they take the £10 deposit off the first month0

After being on hold for a while they apologised and offered me a 50% off deal for 12 months themselves. Actually slightly improved as the HD subscription was half price too (£5 instead of £10) and free ESPN for 3 months which I dont believe was included in the MSE offer.
I might just have got lucky but would recommend anyone else having this issue to ring rather than use the online chat facility as they were no help at all for me.
This also means that I have a code I will not need now so please pm me if you would like it and hopefully if they honour the deal like they did for me or re-open the offer online as they have said to James_Q someone else will be able to get the 1/2 price deal.
be care full to call up to cancel espn after 2 months other wise you enter into a 12 month contract for espn think0 -

thanks - will be sure to. I knew about 31 day notice to cancel but didnt realise it was 12 month contract if not done.0 -
on screen it said £28 monthly so we duly signed up. I thought the extra £10 would make it £38 too but thats the price i signed up for monthly so thats what i feel they should honour. Thanks for the reply
The price they show is minus the upfront payment - it then goes to £38 on the 2nd month.0 -

Just to clarify my latest position. I talked to a third sky customer service person this evening after getting no call back as promised! so as stated above it was £17.75 Sky Entertainment/Sky World + 10.25 for hd which made £28 and not £38 as they were pressing me to pay. The lady pushed the deal through manually for me because the codes are apparently a huge problem/screw up. I was also told that my bank account number was invalid...but i had been through the visa verification so it could not possibly be invalid. I can only conclude that this £28 deal was a mess up and so they wanted to correct it by making my payment invalid.
I will be receiving sky hd sky world for 12 months for £28 after all, i have checked this 4 times with the sky operative and asked for an email to this end. I will confirm everything went ok when my sky hd box is delivered and fitted on Thursday.
Hope this helps anyone out there doubting themselves but keep pressing for this deal its worth the effort to fight for something that sky offered in the first place.0 -

just got the biggest fob off from customers services.. they concided there is a problem with the codes not working on the website today and they now cant process them today but they can manually do it tommorow. They asked for my postcode and DOB so they can create a case. i said to them if they try and say the codes are invalid tommorow they will never be getting my custom full stop.0

Hi,
Tried to use the code tonight, but Sky's website is saying that the offer has expired. Called Sky CS and they said that the codes would be working tomorrow but unfortunately did not take any details...
Thanks0 -
Is there anyone who could post a code to get 50% off sky tv please?
Thanks guys0
