Signal strength isn't as important as signal quality. This wouldn't have been an issue had they installed the dish like I requested. I had Sky services before and it worked perfectly fine with the dish. Now with the communal system, my signal strength is no more than 40%.
I think your best option is to complain to Sky that they didn't fit the dish you requested and that if they don't do this you want a cancellation without penalty.0 -
Thanks for all your help Moneyineptitude, I really appreciate it. I called and cancelled as I can't be asked to argue about this. All the channel services have definitely gone as I checked. They mentioned I have to pay £1.50 for the services to that date.
There was no mention of postage charge or charge for the rest of the installation. Do you think I'm safe to assume they won't charge me for this or do you think they can email me later to tell me I'm going to be charged for the collection and also full price for installation which I'd be obliged to pay?
Very disappointed, I really wanted Sky only with channels that actually work.

I can only quote what you've quoted yourself from Sky's terms and conditionsThere was no mention of postage charge or charge for the rest of the installation. Got my £50 M&S gift card already.
They used to take months - and had to be chased up.
Ordered the wireless on demand connector today for £9.99.
This just gets better
