  • alanamaira how much is your deal per month now? and what packages did you select?
  • on screen it said £28 monthly so we duly signed up. I thought the extra £10 would make it £38 too but thats the price i signed up for monthly so thats what i feel they should honour. Thanks for the reply
  • I signed up yesterday - the summary screen shows a monthly cost of £10 less for the first month, as they give you back the £10 up front payment you make when booking.

It's a bit deceptive, as they appear to count the up front payment rebate as an 'offer', so the monthly cost 'with offers' is actually just for the first month. After that it's £10 more...I have Sky Entertainment+, Sports Pack and HD for £34/month. The HD wasn't discounted :(

Hello I am new on the forum.

I know it's a long shot but does anyone have a spare code?
    Kind regards
    :)

The summary screen was a bit deceptive but we double checked by trying to buy the 1TB box which then put the extra £10 a month on, when we then went back to the normal box it discounted it by £10 again to price to pay £28 a month this was for the sky world package in HD with the normal base package....i would not mind too much paying the extra fiver but its the attitude and the odd way my card declined...allegedly.. that i don't like! I also find it strange that the code was now invalid but she found a way round it with the added extra £10 a month. What also makes me suspicious is that the chap in India said £28 a month and then said he could not authorise it and i would receive a call 4-6 hours from him putting down the phone. Its a shame that a relatively simple process is now winning sky no friends and is giving them terrible PR! It would be a nice gesture just to honour everything and put it down to experience surely that would help the PR machine more than them digging their heels in? Its deals going belly up like this that stick in peoples minds in the future....

Looking at prices I still think you'll find it's going to be £38/month. Normal price for Sky World is £55.50, so £27.75 discounted by 50%. Add £10.25 for HD and that's £38. It's the £10 'discount' for the up front £10 payment that throws it out...I went round a few times working it all out!!

This is a big on-going problem that I and many others are having.
I got the correct code but it is not being accepted when I try to order the discounted sky.

I would phone Sky customer services on 08442 414141 and tell them you have a code that expires tonight and the system won't let you process it.

    Good luck :j
