Not really, not everybody will always want to consume data for navigation, I have unlimited data but still use navfree or sygic, also if the user is in an area outside of network coverage then the online satnav is useless.
I think the poster might be referring to the anticompetitive nature of the apple ecosystem, ie, way apple copies others innovations from the appstore include them as standard in their OS then ban the app as the rules state any competition with apples apps is a no no. Which is why there are no other browsers in the app store except opera who only got in because of a technicality.0 -

Ah, I get ya, TGM never reported that aspect :eek:0 -
Not true, Samsung is not a budget range. If it is then that makes the iPhone at least 25% budget :rotfl:
The Samsung range of phones go from budget to high end.
Many phones with a small screen are low range such as less power, low memory etc.
All are not same specification as S3 with many size of screen, are there?
The Apple is not into range of products. The Apple like to focus on one or two key products, this is one reason why iPhone and other Apple products hold their price.
The Samsung S3 is already down to £460 from £500 in two weeks time on Amazon.0 -

Apple products hold their price because idiots are willing to pay for them. The Samsung S3 is already down to £460 from £500 in two weeks time on Amazon.
And only you, the above described, would try and pass this off as a bad thing. I personally consider it bloody brilliant that I can have the probably best phone on the market for under 500 squid.0 -

Oh see, the Samsung Galaxy Ace is a small phone at 3.5" so this makes it a budget phone.
The iPhone has a 3.5" screen which makes it a.........

Agreed,
isn't this moneysavingexpert.com and not letskeeppricesinflated.com

Clearly Amazon has decided to take a lower margin on the phone to complete with other retailers who may have dropped prices. I think it is more about competition and the advantages it gives moneysaving consumers0 -

When I buy a product I like to know that within a short time iits not going to drop in price.
Otherwise it only shows that manufacture want to rip customer off who need to buy the phone soon to make make more money and then drop the price. Another eg HTC one X out at £500 within three months down to £320.
The odd thing is even after the ripoff by HTC and Samsung with the pricing neither company is making more more money. It look like both are in to make as much money as possible from Android phones quickly then move on to something else.
The business plan not to drop the price do work, look at the car companies most Germany cars hold the price and known for quality because these type of companies can invest back into new products.0 -
Having been an iPhone user until recently when I switched to Android. The inbuilt Navigation app which came as standard was a definately plus and was only a matter of time before iPhone had to play catch up.
Plus on a Note screen, no sat nav available on an iPhone is ever going to knock it. Sorry, iOS has lost me to Android and I don't think I am ever returning. Small screen size a deal breaker for Apple
I use a Nokia phone that I've had for a while. My work has given me an iPhone and allow me to use it for personal calls, but I don't like carrying it about, so I stick with my Nokia. I've also got a couple of spare Blackberrys, but again the size is not convenient.
I looked at a larger screen one (a HTC) on the weekend, and its size was silly.0 -

With this type of pricing companies are never going to have royal customers. Also Samsung release the S voice for S3 but not S2.
Is S2 is very slow device?
Your point is flawed as usual because, unlike apple, Samsung and others have no control over the price their phones are sold at by third partys or OEMs.
Apple like to rip their customers as much as possible and dictate at what price third parties sell their products at. Thats why you cant find discounted apple products.0
