The new iOS 6 will include free SatNav including turn by turn direction, voice and traffic. The maps are powered by TomTom one of the best satnav manufacture for stand alone devices and apps.
No need to spend money buying satnav apps. This function add good value to a free update.
The good thing is even the few year old iPhone 3GS with limited functions can be updated to the newer version of iOS 6 on the day of release. No long waits for the update.
See the link below for demo

Before 3GS (and 4) owners get too excited:

turn-by-turn navigation will be available only on iPhone 4S and iPad 2 or later0 -

Is just some snippets, facetime over 3G? My old SE K850i from 5 years ago called that video calling
The text on reject calls, my 3 year old satio has that feature, intergrating FB/Twitter? Other platforms have been doing that for some time.
Over all dissapointed, I hoped there would be some market leading functions, but it seems that iOS 6 is just catching up0 -

Also they say ""The opportunity that controlling maps gives to Apple for learning more about what their users are doing, keeping that information, and then being able to leverage that for advertising purposes is huge."" :eek:0 -
The SatNav look very good:0

Having been an iPhone user until recently when I switched to Android. The inbuilt Navigation app which came as standard was a definately plus and was only a matter of time before iPhone had to play catch up.
Plus on a Note screen, no sat nav available on an iPhone is ever going to knock it. Sorry, iOS has lost me to Android and I don't think I am ever returning. Small screen size a deal breaker for Apple0 -
Facetime going 3G. Now that is good news. Also, Siri is coming to iPad.Mortgage deposit pot June 2012 = almost there.
DFD Feb 2009
CCJ removal date = May 20140 -
