They've done the same to the MP3 player market, digital content market, tablet market and most recently the ultra-portable laptop market.
Mostly recently that tried with the book market by colluding with other companies to keep book prices artificially high. Conveniently left that one out!0 -
Seriously????
You really do need some help! I take it in appleland they don't have a sense of humour or know what tougus-in-cheek is?
You need to see a doctor not me.
As soon as you read about iphone or anything negative about Android you go mad. Read some of your post you have called others idiots and dumb just because some people are either hit by malware on Android.
If you are not an Android fanboy, show me one post which is not anti-iphone & pro-android.0 -

if you think that scouring the web for article's against your favoured device's competitor and creating threads at every opportunity is rational, then perhaps you ought to think again. You were the one that mentioned dumb in the thread, in what way is your device easier to use than your android?
You cannot even answer simple questions put to you.0 -
Before apple entered the smartphone market software was a second thought after hardware. Now software is a first thought, hardware a close second. That is the only difference.
That is why nokia is loosing marketshare, they were really and somewhat still are all about the hardware.Samsung definitely have the hardware0 -

Have you read any of the posts I've made today??
iTrollman it is not my fault you tend to post links which either prove you have no understanding, prove you are wrong, prove you've done a cursory search and haven't read what you've posted or as in this case proves the square route of Funk all!0 -
Agree with that to an extent, however the N9 (which they stupidly haven't launched everywhere) was definitely about the software as is Windows Phone. The speed at which Windows Phone runs with a single core processor proves that hardware (processor, RAM etc) isn't everything, it's more about how efficiently you make the software work with the hardware.
I have to admit I've never tried a win phone. I don't really want to either. Its just personal preference.Samsung's screens are excellent, no doubt about that. I'm less convinced about the rest of their phones, they always feel flimsy to me.0 -
Having owned a samsung for nearly the last two years and despite its apparent flimsy-ness (its not I'm just told it is by apples people), I've had no problems, as opposed to work colleagues whose metal and glass iphones actual flimsy-ness (mainly the screen).0

I'm not saying that Samsung phone are rubbish and break easily, it's more my preference for weighty, solid feeling phones, and I don't think Samsung phones have that feeling.
iPhone despite feeling solid, does breaks easily. I dunno what was those guys thinking but when iPhone 4s came out, someone was dropping that and Samsung S2 from the same height to see which breaks more. Needless to say, iphone's screen smashed and S2 is still okay. I would not recommend such test though.
I do prefer the iPhone 3g/3gs feel compare to 4/4s. The small phone size doesn't seems to work well for me. 3g is better that way0 -
The thing about android though is that the experience you are looking for is already there you just haven't given it a chance. Samsung just add their twist to android, you dont have to stick with it.
I've given to plenty of chances; most recently the Samsung Galaxy Nexus (great software but physically too big), HTC One X (laggy software and physically too big) and the Sony Xperia P (great hardware but the software was laggy and jerky).
Still waiting for the 'perfect' Android phone that doesn't fall into any of the traps above.Mostly recently that tried with the book market by colluding with other companies to keep book prices artificially high. Conveniently left that one out!
I don't think Apple have been particularly instrumental in the eBook market. I'd be more inclined to credit Amazon with that accolade.0 -

What I was saying is that on all the above phones you don't have to stick with the version that came with the phone. I too have experience problems with android, especially if its carrier branded. There are other ROMs available.I don't think Apple have been particularly instrumental in the eBook market. I'd be more inclined to credit Amazon with that accolade.
They were instrumental in a conspiracy to keep prices artificially high as a way of breaking into the market. They forced amazon to put their prices up as well.0
