I am on Ovivo already and so far finding it a good service for text and phone calls. I wanted to put my daughter on it as she has got a blackberry. Good job I didn't pay the £15 sim card because they are stopping it.... Here is their response:

    From Ovivo: Dear Customer

    Thank you for your enquiry.

Unfortunately we will be withdrawing the blackberry service from Ovivo as of 30.09.13, as it does not allow us to deliver our mobile advertising to the customers.

Due to this, I would advise you to use our SIM in a different device if you wish to use the Ovivo service.

    Kind regards,

I'm not sure if I'm doing something wrong but I'm finding the Ovivo ads more frequent than I was expecting. I have a sim-free rather than an unlocked Galaxy S2. The ads pop up if I open a second tab in the browser and also if I have left the phone for a minute and the screen has gone off and I return to swipe the screen lock back off. It can also happen if I hit the backwards button to move back a page. I have tried the stock browser and Google Chrome.

I don't use mine that much but what I've noticed is that the ad seems to come on when you change from site to site.

For example if I surf MSE with different pages etc no ad's come up but if I go from MSE to BBC an ad will come up and if I return to MSE an ad will come up etc etc

No big deal though for a few seconds wait ;)

I think you can still use Blackberries running on version 10 without problem on Ovivo. Older Blackberries can also be used but you have to manually enter the APN settings, and either install a different browser or download a different service book if you want to use the Blackberry browser. Also you won't be able to use Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) on older Blackberries.

Ovivo are actually incorrect in saying they can't deliver their ads to Blackberry users.

I'm already on Ovivo and purchased a sim for my daughter to use in her iphone 4s purchased sim free from CPW ..... having problems getting the phone to recognise the sim. Have been told to completely reset the phone, turn off then start it back up again with the Ovivo sim in it but still having the same problem.

Anyone have the same problem and know of a solution ?

    TIA ;)
