I'm not sure which these mysterious countries are which are not in the EU and not not in the EU eitherZone 1 – Non EU Channel Islands Zone 2 – EU Austria, Belgium, Cyprus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Portugal, San Marino, Spain, Sweden Zone 2 – Non EU Andorra, Gibraltar, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Monaco, Norway, Reunion, Switzerland, Vatican City Zone 3 – EU Bulgaria, Czech Republic, Estonia, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Malta, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia Zone 3 – Non EU Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Croatia, Faroe Islands
- Croatia IS in the EU, though Ovivo's list suggests it is not - important for those holidaying in the Adriatic
- quite a few other operators include Switzerland and some other non-EU countries in their 'EU' rates

On closer inspection those roaming charges for certain countries look illegal.
E.g. Gibraltar - under EU law the maximum roaming charge is about 38p per Mb but they seem to be charging £2.50 per Mb.0 -
Ordered a SIM to use with my iPad on the Data Freedom package. I'm not sure how much I'll use it as I've previously always had wifi only iPads but now have a 4G version, so will probably only be for the odd occasions I'm not near a network. Hoping the Ads aren't too intrusive as I've read varying reports on them. It's good that non-browsing apps aren't affected though.
Are people using them for data-only generally happy?0 -
Is anyone using the Freedom Data Only in an Android smartphone?
I'm wanting to use for occasional internet and googlemaps.
Cheers0 -
My wife is using it in a Galaxy Note 2. She can't receive MMS messages (this seems to be a common problem) and there is also no support for Hullomail, so all Voicemail access has to come out of her monthly allowance. Apart from that it seems to work OK.0

Ordered a SIM today, I still cant believe its really free apart from the sign up fee!
I will try it for a couple of months and if it does what it says on the tin its bye bye Orange (Whose service has gone down the toilet over the last 6 months LOL)0 -
I received my Sim card from Ovivo earlier this week. Its fab! had one problem with a text message not being sent but calls to other people absolutely fine. Got £18 credit, £15 for the set up, £3 to transfer number. God knows when I shall use this credit.
Had 2 adverts which were fine and didn't hold up on accessing internet.
Pretty good so far.... watch this space!

For Ovivo to Ovivo calls & texts, it looks like you'll consume the monthly allowance unless you've already run out of minutes/texts in which case they'll be free.
They've worded it very specifically - can someone confirm Ovivo to Ovivo calls and texts are debited from the monthly allowance?
