When Three launched they offered free Three to Three minutes. No impact on your monthly allowance.

Giff Gaff to Giff Gaff calls are also free and don't impact on your monthly allowance.

What I and seemingly many othes have questioned is the rather unique policy wording where FREE unlimited Ovivo to Ovivo calls are in fact debited from the monthly allowance. But, if/when you run out of your monthly allowance, Ovivo to Ovivo calls then become completely free and are not debited from an allowance or your account balance. Nice and simple... ;)

For some customers (depending on usage) Three's 321 PAYG tariff may be a better option.

    I think its simple.

How much cash would a Ovivo to Ovivo call cost you with-in the free allowance? £0.00p
How much cash would a Ovivo to Ovivo call cast you outside your free allowance? £0.00p.
So at all times a Ovivo to Ovivo call costs £0.00. Which i think £0,00p counts as free.
    Simple?
Ok theres a slight catch that within your allowance it would reduce the rest of your free allowance but they are not lying in that the Ovivo to Ovivo part costs £0.00p so Free.

Separate thoughts for those thinking of joining them (not directed at above user).
Got my Dad on it about 3 months ago. His phone is not a smartphone and was spending about £10 a month PAYG on Virgin as a light PAYG user. Hes is very happy with ovivo and is already in front and he tries to recommend to friends who don't believe him. Half thinking of switching myself but would need to cut my usage slightly or get two Ovivo sims. Great service even though i cannot see it being around in this form long term.
Hi there! We’ve had to remove your signature. It was so good we removed it because we cannot think of one so good as you had and need to protect others from seeing such a great signature.

But the big difference is that with Three, Giffgaff and everyone else is that you PAY for the money allowance.

    The Ovivo SIM costs £15.

Pleased to see someone appears to understand the issue here.

None of which is used up by the FREE Ovivo-Ovivo calls :wall:

And it's actually £15 credit, which you can use when your allowance runs out, so you get it back. You're not paying £15 that for the free allowance, if that were the case your argument would only be valid for the first month, as following months you pay nothing for that allowance.

Got my SIM today but I'm a bit disappointed. Its frustratingly slow on the internet even though it shows full bars. I've got GiffGaff too which doesn't get full bars but is considerably faster. This makes the adverts extra annoying as you have to sit for a while waiting for the page to loads, then 5 seconds until you can click continue. Wish I'd just gone for the T-Mobile 6 month internet for £15 deal :(

Just a side note but the number of bars showing on a phone is almost completely meaningless so don't put much value on that.

Ovivo operates on Vodafone, Vodafone has pretty poor 3G performance, it's been reported a number of times in this forum and elsewhere on the net.

Ovivo can't do anything about Vodafones deficiencies.

I use Ovivo on both my phone and a separate sim in a mifi device. On a recent visit to Devon my phone was registering full bars and had no problems with voice calls but the mifi data rate was dire and I never got a page to appear on my tablet unless I went into the town centre.

Mine always resets (with the new months allowance), but I can't remember if it does on the monthly renewal date or the day after. Check again tomorrow and if it isn't there just contact them. They have a very good customer support team.

    It's actually a date+time, mine resets at around 4pm
Did you order the SIM in the evening?
