Hi please can somebody help me?
I have recieved my statements for the last 6 years.
Can i detail all the charges on a spreadsheet and send that instead of photo copying the individual statements?
I will list the date, 'late charges' and amount.
Do i need to include anymore information?
Many thanks0 -
In fact this is what you should do and not photocopy the statements, have a look at post 8 in this thread.
Give date, a description and the amount and if you put it through Martin's calculator you can print it from there.
Have a read of the Reclaim Help Thread, linked in my signature, for what you can and can't claim and other useful information for your claim.0 -
thanks edinburghlass.
Just doing it now, can i claim the interest? it varies from 96p to £6.70 on different statements?0 -
Nope! Not unless the bank charges themselves caused the interest and not your personal overspending and you would need to be very accurate with this.0

Hello
Im with Barclays and I want to claim back Paid Referral Fees of £1,415 for going over my Agreed Overdraft. But what would this come under when writing my 2nd letter to claim the money back?
Would it be:
I am writing to request that you repay all the default charges for my agreed overdraft that have been applied to my account etc etc etc ?
Thank you.

The template letters should cover all charge types. If not, just make the necessary amendments.0 -
Do I send the originals back with charges highlighted with a marker or copies of statements or do I just inform them of the dates of the charges.0

Whatever you do, don't send the originals.
Do a list with date of charge, amount of charge and reason for charge For the reason, use what you did (ie. going overdrawn, late payment) not the bank's description (ie. service fee).
If you are also claiming interest at this stage, run the figures through the interest calculator in Martin’s article and add these to the list.
Please read Martin’s article and the Reclaim Bank Charges Help thread for information and the Reclaimed Bank Charges Success Stories and Reclaimed Bank Charges Success Stories II threads for inspiration. The acquisition of wealth is no longer the driving force in my life.0 -
